As always, let's critique the clothes and not the wearers.

Diana and Kate wore mosque outfits but the hems were much shorter.

I liked the casual outfit earlier but I think the khaki dress is awful. It seems as if it's miles too big so she's done the belt up way too tight to compensate, plus half her hair hanging out looks really messy (and the dress looks like it needs ironing too) Confused.

frugalkitty · 24/09/2019 15:04

I've got the Costco flyer in my handbag, to discuss the toilet rolls on offer with my mum, but I doubt Meghan has one in hers!

Not keen on the colour of her dress for the mosque. Agree with whoever liked Harry in the green shirt, he looks good with some colour!

TokyoSushi · 24/09/2019 15:07

Not sure about the Khaki dress, it looks a bit like a tent in colour and in shape!

Black & white from yesterday still my favourite so far.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2019 15:09

I've seen a few more shots of the khaki dress now and I definitely don't like it. Far too much fabric. But I guess it's occasion appropriate so...

The mosque dress is horrid!

itswinetime · 24/09/2019 15:20

see I think I Meghan is completely hit or miss with evening wear her Oscar de la rents black and white dress is one of my favourites others and are some of the worst. So I'm not ruling out some a hood look tonight.

Looking closer at the fabric of the khaki dress I think the fact it's shiny is making it worse!

UrsulaPandress · 24/09/2019 15:21

Gosh Diana was stunning wasn’t she.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2019 15:28

Yes, Diana definitely had something about her and it went beyond her looks.

Didn’t she wear a similar one to the polo Confused Lisa marie Fernandez?

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2019 15:30

Yes I thought it was the same dress at first but then remembered that one wasn't as long.

Out of the three women, Diana’s dress is the most appropriate , Meghan’s sleeves are too short, and Kate’s dress is too short,

VeniceBeach · 24/09/2019 15:33

There were lots of books around Clarence House. As in ones that might actually get read rather than those old brown hardbacks you get in the libraries of old houses! Off the top of my head I can only remember All Quiet on the Western Front and lots of PG Wodehouse on the shelves. Noel Coward sheet music on the piano.

I haven’t loved any of Meghan’s outfits so far but they’ve all been nice enough and appropriate so she’s doing well imo. I like Harry’s light suits!

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 24/09/2019 15:34

The shape of the dress does nothing for her, the colour is very much her, though.

VeniceBeach · 24/09/2019 15:35

The polo one was similar - both voluminous khaki dresses - but that one was linen and more casual. I think this one would be nicer if it wasn’t in that shiny material.

queenofarles · 24/09/2019 15:36

This one, I actually much prefer it to the one she is wearing today,

I liked her airport outfit and her jeans jacket outfit from this morning, the rest just look ill fitting and make her look bigger than she is .

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 24/09/2019 16:05

I like the colour of her dress and it suits her colouring so well and her pretty face is highlighted by the scarf (I realise it isn’t a fashion statement!).

The am a similar shape to her (thick waisted and short) and dress belts often accentuate my waistline. I think without a belt she’d be in danger of looking like Mother Teresa so it’s fine. I don’t think looking glamorous is the agenda when on a mosque visit anyway.

Lunde · 24/09/2019 16:07

Loved the casual outfit earlier in the day - she always looks very confident in her trouser/white shirt combos.

However the khaki dress is not good at all - the volume seems to swamp her, the shiny material is not nice and the breast pockets are unflattering.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 24/09/2019 16:37

I’ve just seen Harry’s bald patch. I’m a bit taken aback as it seems to have grown considerably.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2019 16:39

Rogaine?

ThingsImighthavedone · 24/09/2019 16:44

OMG - really hate that mosque dress. She couldn't have looked worse if she tried. Far too much fabric, awful colour and texture.
I also don't know why she keeps going for tie waisted dresses, they don't flatter her figure.
Diana looks stunning in that outfit. I think Kate looks terrible. Uncomfortable, ill at ease and the dress does nothing for her, or the shoes.

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/09/2019 16:44

Good lord, that food looks amazing!!

@ThingsImighthavedone To be fair to Kate, I think that tour was only about a year after she married so she may have been nervous.

I spot Malva and milk tart? 😋
bad for the weight but so good!

paradyning · 24/09/2019 17:04

I remember those pics of Kate taking her shoes off outside the mosque. I always thought her feet look really sore from the heels. It must be excruciating to have to wear them all the time.
