Ah @Laska2Meryls, the sizes are all nonsense anyway, there’s so much variation from shop to shop and then there’s cut/fitting/shape too. You always look really nice on your photos.

The answer of course is a small team of personal designers/tailors/sewing people to make your own clothing which fits you perfectly and you never even have to think about what size it is. Now for the lottery win!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 07:53

@Laska2Meryls You look fabulous so tell those little voices in your head dragging you down to shoo away!
You know the scales are a load of crap. You know you have lost weight as you said your Moritz felt looser. ( You look great the way you do anyway) You know i have had issues with scales. Its been painstaking losing weight for me and days on end show no change or loss of 1lb so i feel your pain. Clothes sizes are all messed up!
Always think you look lovely in your clothes and positive you do in real life xxx

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 07:56

@Ellapaella just googled your word. Its a city in kashmir!!!

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2019 08:34

Ella I hope you are feeling better today..

I have a v slight headache!! Why is that I wonder?Hmm. only slight though, Will be ok after coffee...

the larger Clarks Orinoco spice boots are still to narrow ! Bah, its across the bridge of the foot so wont ever change .. so people only order them if you have narrow feet . ( these are the black shiny leather ones, ...they dont do them in a wider fit sadly (unlike all the others ) .

Has Anyone got their Hush friends back yet?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 09:17

Not me. Well i will check today. Have you?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 09:19

Nope😡

Sooverthemill · 14/09/2019 09:21

At the risk of boring everyone, this is how Pure Collection have dealt with a website f*up via email to all registered customers. Free postage for 2 days. ( their postage is ridiculous but I always tell myself that it's better than petrol and parking and anyway I can't go anywhere to shop!). IMO so much better than the way Hush have dealt with it

And no, Friends on Hush is not back up yet. Just put something in my basket to test! But I did get my refund I'd been stressing about and my cord skirt has just come with my friendly postman who said ' you always smile when I bring those parcels. They make you happy!'

dontcallmelen · 14/09/2019 12:52

Laska you carry all your clothes so well & always looks totally fab did laugh at you living in isolation & seeing no one though, please don’t feel bad about yourself yes yes clothing sizes are totally mad they make no sense 😘
Ella hope you are feeling better today, never you too & lovely compliments you always look great as well, glasses sound a bargain.

dontcallmelen · 14/09/2019 12:56

Soover well done Pure & hope also sorted out the glasses & the skirt has made you happy.
Lovely day here, pottering around in the garden & going out for dinner later with my cousin & some friends so no cooking yippee.

justilou1 · 14/09/2019 14:19

Went shopping for bathing suits with my two lithe teenage daughters today. What was I thinking? Whatever tattered scraps that had remained after dealing with latest teenage angst and homework issues last week have been completely and utterly destroyed. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuk! I need a tummy tuck, much fake tan and intense yoga STAT. (*only one of these things is going to happen, and it’s going to have to wait until after wrist surgery or I will land flat on my face. Can you guess?)

Binkybix · 14/09/2019 14:29

Shopping for swim wear with horrid lighting and looking at yourself intently and close up will always be problematic! I’m going away in October so will have the same thing. Been putting it off because I often come back feeling the same.

In lighter stuff, I woke up today with a worry the tux is going to sell out. But I’m too tight to pay full price!

dontcallmelen · 14/09/2019 14:51

Binky I got some lovely swimwear from Seaspray in the summer, I think lots of others on the thread bought from belle lingerie & was a good price.
Just I feel your pain, swimwear is the one thing I always order online least that way trying on is in the privacy of your own home.

justilou1 · 14/09/2019 14:58

@melen, it’s almost impossible to return swimsuits here in Aus unless they’re faulty because of hygiene laws. (And undies, obviously...) I get it, but it makes buying a swimsuit a massive ordeal. Of course I had the bright idea to go to a factory outlet center (set up in a maze-like Ikea purgatory fashion.) With teenagers. On a weekend. I wasn’t even drunk when I agreed to this.

dontcallmelen · 14/09/2019 15:12

Aww Just crikey that sounds stuff of nightmares, swimsuit Ikea😱
Ahh I see, here as long as you don’t take off the hygiene strip you can return (I think that’s correct, I sent back loads in the summer & didn’t have any problem with refunds)

justilou1 · 14/09/2019 15:54

I suspect it’s more a policy thing rather than a law, but given the way that people treat the clothing (and the poor shop assistants) at that place, I wouldn’t want anything that had been returned.... ew! I bought two bikinis, so it wasn’t a complete waste of time. Last year’s bathing suit is still unworn, but at least two sizes too big now. Such a pity. It’s gorgeous. Of course they had nothing in a one piece I’d be caught dead wearing. That’s what I was there for, of course!!!

Sooverthemill · 14/09/2019 16:00

@dontcallmelen thank you! The skirt is fabulous and I really like it so that's a keeper. The cord jacket is huge so I've sent it back for an exchange. We are going out tonight but just to a pub so I thunk white jeans and the Olivia cardigan.

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2019 17:35

Yes to swimwear, I have just come back from the beach, where i was wearng bikini to and large bikini bottoms.. (idid go in though!).
Anyway as i strugged back up the beach , (stones pebbles sticks seaweed etc going ow ouch etec) out of one of the mega fuckface ££££££ gin palace boats moored offshore comes this vision ,gets into the tender and glides ashore .. mid 30s tall slim , extraordinarily brown , long silky blond hair , white bikini,, and mother to two perfect looking kids, and then her dog came up to us and crapped!!

She did apologise perfusely, ... (and actually seemed so lovely / posh lovely but lovely ..

But talk about adding insult to injury...I mean you so dont need that on a UK beach do you ? ....esp when you are struggling out of your wet cossie behind a towel !!!

I am the better person, I am the better person.. (repeat) ..(Laska falls in to the Gin again .. )
Ah well!! Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 18:15

Bikini...god its bloody freezing here!!

Oh @laska, its sods law when you are feeling a bit shit about yourself that someone out of a magazine rocks up!!!
You are the better person!! You are..

neveradullmoment99 · 14/09/2019 18:19

and I am sure you looked bloody fabulous. We have seen your bikini pics so we know.

GinandGingerBeer · 14/09/2019 18:47

Oh laska sorry but that did make me lol 😂
Just having a catch up with the thread, love that M&S jacket you bought, good price too!
I have some flatform brogues, black patent from M&S. I got them last year but they have them in again this year if anyone is still looking
People always comment on them.

I've been to see downton this afternoon Smile

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2019 18:55

Yes it did made me laugh actually , it was just one of those things.. you know.. I dont care about my 61 yr old bikini bod, they can look if they like.. I just want to swim and chill on the beach.. . let them look if they want

people like that really shouldn't be allowed on UK beaches , where all of us bluish ordinary folk congregate Grin

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2019 18:58

We do get some mega face-off £££££££ boats of the beaches here.

Cowes (just up from us) and the Solent are international yachtie circuit places .. but there's lots of us locals messin' about making the place look real.. and the yachties will be all gone in a week or two

Laska2Meryls · 14/09/2019 19:02

gin Those flatforms are nice...
I'm sticking with the Clarks now though unless I go mad and order the Poetry ones, but I wont
