I'm off to the big Primark tomorrow and wondering if there is anything I should be looking out for?!

The exit?

I went to the huge one in Birmingham and it was absolute hell. There's not really anything special in there, just more of the same stuff as any other.

wiltingflower · 21/08/2019 21:56

Jewellery and accessories

countrycriving · 21/08/2019 21:58

If you wear opaque tights, Primark's are surprisingly good.

MadeForThis · 21/08/2019 22:08

Pajamas

drivingtofrance · 21/08/2019 22:13

I bought a couple of bras recently.

They are surprisingly decent for £5 or whatever they were.

JoyceDivision · 21/08/2019 22:15

To leave quickly and empty handed Grin

PuppyMonkey · 21/08/2019 22:15

The only reason to go to primark this week is for the standard school handbag that you have to have if you are 12.

Tojigornot · 21/08/2019 22:17

Socks are ok. That’s about it really.

Lima45 · 21/08/2019 22:17

Aqua lash mascara

DuchessOfDukeStreet · 21/08/2019 22:17

Did I read somewhere that Alexandra Steinherr had developed a range of skincare for Primark? I never see it in my local one but it's a regional branch with wall-to-wall cheap bikinis at the moment.

linentowel · 21/08/2019 22:18

Pjs
Opaque tights
Knickers
Jeans

Fancyseeingyouhere · 21/08/2019 22:19

Pyjamas, socks, and I like the homeware section.

Fruityb · 21/08/2019 22:19

The gold tube mascara - it’s replaced Benefit for me. Love it.

T shirts
Knickers
Pop socks
Socks

RedForShort · 21/08/2019 22:19

Pretty much depends on what you need!!! I'd go there if I need underwater, tights, pyjamas, running clothes and makeup.

My teenages like the tee shirts and hoodies.

I'd also buy batteries and wrapping paper when required.

HappyHammy · 21/08/2019 22:20

tea towels
bathroom towels
socks
cotton wool
hand wipes
pyjama bottoms
vests but always get a bigger size and 100% cotton ones
flip flops

DelphiniumBlue · 21/08/2019 22:20

Slouch t-shirts. Men's jeans and t shirts. Make up. Ponytail bands. Gymwear. PJs.

Fancyseeingyouhere · 21/08/2019 22:20

Why are people on MN so sniffy about Primark?

RedForShort · 21/08/2019 22:22

Oh yes, HappyHammy, I'd forgotten about towels - don't buy them too often!! Add to that bedding.

marblesgoing · 21/08/2019 22:23

Nail varnish

mindproject · 21/08/2019 22:25

Those £6 pyjama sets are really good.
The £2 t-shirt bras are very comfortable.
Super soft long-sleeved lounge top.
Fluffy socks.
Stretchy vests.
Jeggings.
Bed throw, cushions, candles, hot water bottle.

Fancyseeingyouhere · 21/08/2019 22:26

I love Primark jeggings.

Sarcelle · 21/08/2019 22:29

The nail varnish is excellent. One quid.

I used to have an obsession with nail polish. Had about 300, mostly OPI, Nars, Marc Jacobs, Zoya, Butter London etc. So I have experienced a lot of brands.

I would say that the quality is better than most of the expensive brands I have tried.

lalag · 21/08/2019 22:30

Absolutely nothing.

Save your money and buy from a company that doesn't exploit poor workers in poor countries.

applepieicecream · 21/08/2019 22:31

Socks
Pyjama trousers
£1.80 vest tops for wearing as PJ tops and also for layering
Towels
Kids socks
Kids pants
Men’s pants
Wrapping paper
