Is this bikini inappropriate?

Hi all, just NCed as you can see my bedroom furniture in these pics and I don't want it linked to my posting history. Regular poster though!

I just received this bikini set I bought online, and it is waaaaay more revealing than I thought!! The bottom is teeny tiny, and the top is also quite small and offers zero support (not that I need much...). I feel quite exposed wearing it

For context, I am 30, so not exactly a spring chicken anymore!

Is it too outrageously skimpy to wear? Shall I send it back and exchange it with some more, ehm, appropriate? Does it look tacky?

I have never worn anything this skimpy in public, not sure I'll have the guts to actually wear it

It looks amazing and when I saw the front I thought 'what's wrong with that' but the back 😬 mainly the fact you'll be hoiking it out of of your arse every five minutes.

That style of bikini bottom is on all the women featured in the magazines and tabloids this summer and you can certainly carry it off as well OP. The only thing I'd say is that regardless of your figure and age, if you look self conscious in it and if you're not comfortable, then it's not going to look anywhere near as good in that style as something you can put on and forget about.

The top is nice. The bottoms are a bit much (or rather not enough...). I'd feel pretty self conscious in them.

Personally (not that I'm ever going to look like you), I'd wear the top with larger bottoms. But that's just me.

I wouldn't think twice about somebody else wearing that on a beach.

You look good op, no doubt about that. But personally I can’t stand the arse cheeks hanging out look that seemed to be on the beaches this summer, and the top is a bit weird and mismatching - and will give you silly tan lines.

But if you like the style 🤷🏼‍♀️ go for it!

I would strongly suggest you invest in some baggy twinsets with shoulder pads, thin black nylons and orthopaedic shoes.

I love the top and it looks great on you, but the bottoms look a bit tacky, so I’d swap them for something with high cut legs and high waisted as part of the current 90s trend.

I wouldn't wear it. You have a fantastic body but it's not the nicest or most flattering of bikinis. It shows too much bum.

Don't put a tee shirt over it like a woman did on our holiday last week. The tee shirt covered her costume so she looked like she was naked as only her lower butt cheeks showed.It's not to my taste. But I'm in my 40s, so these type of bikini aren't aimed at me. Do you want everyone ogling your butt? It's certainly eye catching.

Just got back from Crete and nearly everyone was wearing that style of bikini bottom, and had much better tan lines than me in my old fashioned coverall bottoms

The bikini bottom is neither a thing nor a typical bikini - so it just looks too small and bloody uncomfortable!

You look good in it. 30 is very young still in fact I have seen women in their 60s and upwards in bikinis and many still look good!

I might swap bottoms for something that fits over the arse cheeks, but not high waisted - I think they look horrid.

Send it back after you have tried it on without underwear? The bottoms fit fine. Not keen on the colours or the top.
