Mother of the Groom help

I know this is a hardy perennial of a subject. But help! i don't want a pencil style dress, which seems to be the norm for mother of the bride/groom frocks. I have recently lost two stone and have regained a little of my slim hourglass silhouette. I'm also quite tall . Is this dress too plain for a winter wedding (reg office and posh pub reception). I'm doubting option I see. I'd like my arms and knees covered, not because they're awful. I'm just more comfortable if they are!

To be honest I already ordered it so it’s on its way in a 10. But I’ve gotten cold feet and need reassurance. I want to look and feel just right. Am wondering too if a classy faux fur wrap might work in November?

That looks fab! A nice wrap will finish it off nicely for a winter wedding.

Absolutely beautiful. Go for it. The faux fur wrap will be perfect with it too. I would also think that you could get a few more wears out of it.

It's gorgeous and entirely suitable for a MoG. You'll have less attention than the MoB so it's not as vital as her outfit. I've been both MoB and MoG.

It's a lovely dress. If I ever get to be MoG I plan on wearing a trouser suit - flares or wide legged, maybe a bright colour.

It's a keeper! But. I need I need to turbo charge my SW diet to lose another half a stone (which will come off my hips I hope). It fits but with no spare room for fizz and food! Now I'm worrying about a fascinator. If I do, it'll be a pink from the flowers on the skirt. I have some beautiful navy (not too hight) heels, and an old but loved navy Kate Spade small handbag to go with it. Job done. i hope. Thank you lovely people xxxx
