I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

The trench arrived, omg I love it. Feels lovely quality, beautiful

happytobemrsg · 16/08/2019 17:10

Fantastic colour cheese

gotmychocolateimgood · 16/08/2019 17:15

I've found the item I was looking for, a burgundy cord mini skirt on ebay for £8 (new with tags). Now just need some decent thick tights and some lightweight fitted jumpers. Everything seemed to be acrylic and oversized last year.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 16/08/2019 17:20

Meant to tag and thank @BenWillbondsPants. It’s gorgeous, I shouldn’t have really but it’s so nice. Still pondering a mustard crossbody.

BenWillbondsPants · 16/08/2019 17:24

@LuxuryWoman2018 I'm so pleased you love it!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 16/08/2019 17:30

Ben it fits beautifully, very flattering and I’ll have it for years, I couldn’t have justified full price but this was a proper bargain.love things that come in fancy boxes too (shallow)

Lumene · 16/08/2019 18:02

Yey so glad you love it too @luxurywoman2018

happytobemrsg · 16/08/2019 18:23

I never seem to find anything on ebay... how are you all doing it?!?!?

BenWillbondsPants · 16/08/2019 18:27

@LuxuryWoman2018 I know it's a beautiful coat and it won't date at all.

EnidButton · 16/08/2019 20:01

Yes can we have some eBay tips please? I don't use it really so don't have a clue how you find the good stuff.

EnidButton · 16/08/2019 20:01

Glad you went for it Luxury! Is the fabric really nice?

LuxuryWoman2018 · 16/08/2019 20:02

I’m thrilled with it BenWillbondsPants just had to go out in the drizzle so it’s been christened 😊

EnidButton · 16/08/2019 20:54

Love that first wear feeling! Congrats on your excellent purchase. Smile

LuxuryWoman2018 · 16/08/2019 21:22

EnidButton yes, it’s fabulous. It hangs really nicely, great detailing, good fit, nice deep colour. Also came in a fancy box with some skincare samples just to add to the luxury feel.

Honestly, I love clothes and bags but I’m perfectly happy with charity shops and supermarkets if the item looks great and the quality feels decent. I also think cheaper can look great with the right accessories (not necessarily expensive), it’s how you style things.

But yeah, I’m delighted with this.

Atalune · 17/08/2019 13:40

eBay-
Look at the feedback
When does the item finish- is it convenient for you?
Check the photos carefully
If it’s got a lot of watchers be prepared to be outbid
If you’re the only bidder or one of 2/3. Watch the minutes count down and put in a bid with one min to spare. Then with 11 seconds to go place your bid, confirm it and then press hit with 2 seconds spare. Put your max in.

EnidButton · 17/08/2019 14:42

Thanks Atalune Cake

It's very Autumnal here today. Rain and wind. Not a nice walk through the woods kind of day but it's giving me cosy Autumn vibes anyway. Going to go through my wardrobe again and get a couple of outfits ready.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 17/08/2019 16:53

Perfect kind of day for wearing a beautiful new mac Enid

I’ve been through my wardrobe today and I seem to have a lot of bobbly jumpers, I do want some cosy sweatpants or similar, something I could nip to the shop wearing preferably but very relaxed.

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 19/08/2019 07:24

I'm still in the market for a new trench mac - I'm only 5'1" so need a petite range one, you cant really change the sleeves on a mac with things round the cuffs.

The Hobbs one would be perfect (and love it in Navy, clay and cream!) But all sold out in a size 6. I need to look elsewhere - has anyone seen a nice petite mac?

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 19/08/2019 07:29

Its interesting how many of us are after thin, layering jumpers and dont want ones made of crappy materials.

Theres clearly a demand, uniqlo do have some nice ones, although the crew is always a bit too tight around the neck for me. I think a boat neck style would be good.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 19/08/2019 08:01

I’d like some soft cowl necks, polo necks make me look all boobs and v necks show of my sun damaged chest, a cowl neck for me is good to show necklaces.

SpeckledyHen · 19/08/2019 08:32

Any chance of a modelling pic of your coat Luxury ?

LuxuryWoman2018 · 19/08/2019 09:14

I’ll try later as I’m on the move at the moment SpeckledyHen. It’s very flattering, the models on the website are ‘real shaped’ women and on instagram there a few similar women wearing it and they all look great.
I’m rubbish at pictures but I’ll give it a go when I get a minute.

cheesenpickles · 19/08/2019 09:57

So, it hasn't arrived yet but I snuck a look at the check out on my Stitch Fix (I'm awful I know) and I'm pretty impressed. A relaxed Warehouse blazer in green which may cause me to return the mustard one downthread, a pair of mango tailored black trousers, a pair of Scotch & Soda hi-rise skinnies which look like a real contender to replace my batter pair, a PU biker jacket (which I won't keep as I have a real leather jacket and I'm holding out for an all saints one) and a striped seersucker cami (which isn't really my style but I'll give it a shot and try it on). I'm quite impressed as they are all very "me", higher end high street (most expensive item was the jeans which were £95, but what I'd want to spend cash on). Just gotta wait for it to arrive and try it on. I spent hours doing their little quizzy thing and really hammered my style and did a Pinterest board but, for £10, I'm quite impressed.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 19/08/2019 14:41

That sounds a really useful thing cheesenpickles yet mighty dangerous and expensive. I’ll look into it but this thread has already cost me a fortune.
