Talk to me about leggings.

I know they aren't everyone's favourite, but I need to find a better seller of simple black long legged leggings that don't cost the earth.

Primark - thick, don't wear through, but colour fades quickly
H&M - colour stays, but they get see through quickly.
Next - I thought I had it! Colour stays, they don't thin, but the bloody crotch has worn through on all four pairs.

Help!!!! Happy to spend £10 per pair. Would go higher for a guarantee of long lasting.

Topshop? They are literally the only items of clothing that I buy from their but they keep their colour and don't seem to have worn through

Blueberryblueberry · 07/08/2019 22:29

Argh. There.

thecheshirecatcanfuckoff · 10/08/2019 13:44

Sainsbury's tu do some nice leggings, don't fade or thin and mine have lasted a year. Have a 25% sale starting on the 13th August.

Aderyn19 · 10/08/2019 13:45

Try Morrisons. They are thick, with wide waistband. £8 and last for ages

sheshootssheimplores · 10/08/2019 13:46

I used to really like Peacocks for leggings. Now I wear primark and really like them!

Knowivedonewrong · 10/08/2019 16:05

Matalan do very good leggings.

crazyforpiggies · 10/08/2019 16:15

Sainsburys

Propertyofhood · 10/08/2019 16:24

Topshop.

They are the only ones I have tried that keep their shape and don't bag or fall down. I love them and have about a million pairs. They are £12 but definitely worth it.

New Look

00Sassy · 10/08/2019 16:29

I’ve got some from Gap that I wear regularly for work.
Not see through, high waisted, not faded much.
Picked them up at one of their outlets and they were discounted to £13

Ninkaninus · 10/08/2019 16:31

M&S leggings are very good.

MrDarcysMa · 10/08/2019 16:57

m&s nice high thick waist band and they are quite flattering on me

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/08/2019 17:35

M&S or Sainsbury

But the last Sainsbury ones I got were really tight on the ankles .

I got some treggings (trouser/leggings) from M&S and some Ponte leggings from Sainsbury that are much thicker, better quality and better wearing .

Greyhound22 · 10/08/2019 17:42

Sainsbury's leggings are the best IMO

hammeringinmyhead · 10/08/2019 20:00

Sainsbury's Tu Luxury leggings are the business.

Heartofglass12345 · 10/08/2019 20:59

Littlewoods are good the pack of two I get, they cost about £20 for both

user1497787065 · 10/08/2019 21:02

A bit more expensive but last forever and stay black is Biden. You can usually find a discount code

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 10/08/2019 21:27

I've tr8ed the Sainsbos normal leggings and wasn't impressed. I've not tried the luxury so will give them a whirl along with the topshop ones.

The Sainsbury ones are £10-£12ish , single pair .

I saw some nice ones in Costco , double pack (grey+black) fleece lined but no measurements given, just S/M/L/

I wasn't going to try them on or bring them back so I left them.

goose1964 · 11/08/2019 14:43

I have some M&S ones that are at least 10 years old and still pass for new. I'm not sure if they're still as good as they don't need replacing.

LizzieMacQueen · 11/08/2019 15:07

The boden girls leggings, age 15-16 are good value, cheaper than women's and very good quality. Maybe not if you're size 16 or more.

Equally their vest tops are very well made and are a decent length.

Runningonempty84 · 11/08/2019 16:00

Why leggings though? If you've run out, and you know they're "not everyone's favourite" (to put it mildly) could this be the time to ditch them? Apologies if you need to wear them under a work uniform, or if there's a particular reason you need stretchy comfortable clothing, or similar. Just think - in the gentlest possible way - they rarely look good on anyone.

cookiechomper · 11/08/2019 16:06

Runningonempty84 because she wants them. Enough reason.

ArthursSlave · 11/08/2019 16:07

I don't get that everyone now hates leggings when some skinny jeans are thinner and look no better. It is all down to the cost, the more you spend the better they are. I buy Mint Velvet, but then they are almost £20, but really thick and wide waist band. I wear them to slob about in at home.

keepingbees · 11/08/2019 16:11

I buy new look ones as they do long length, they've always lasted and washed well
