Oh sorry @Laska2Meryls didnt respond to the ties at end of dress question. I like mine tied. You can tie them right at the bottom so they are not choking you? If not, try the beads. Sounds pretty. Did you enjoy wearing it? I love mine.

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2019 12:22

Its quiet on here today. Well just pottering around today. Have to post some stuff at the post office but apart from that its a chilled day!

dontcallmelen · 02/08/2019 12:39

I’m pottering as well never just taking advantage of having house to myself.

twosoups1972 · 02/08/2019 12:40

It's a nice sunny day here today. I'm having a pre-holiday wax soon then I'll see if I can persuade dd3 to come out and do something.

Happy Friday everyone Smile

Nanasueathome · 02/08/2019 13:05

Majority of my wardrobe is Toast but I only ever buy in the sale and aim for at least 30% reduction
John Lewis also have Toast in selected stores and online too so that’s another option
My younger son lives in Cheltenham and I’m a regular at their shop there

Laska2Meryls · 02/08/2019 13:32

In in hell on earth! Ryde seafront ona hot day..fish and chips kiss me quick..tons of people ah well DGS loving it .hes currently ago at the rubbish magician .. crazy golf next.. gotta befone

Gotta be done..

twosoups1972 · 02/08/2019 14:41

Awww lovely @Laska2Meryls bless him

NotAnActualSheep · 02/08/2019 15:36

lol at never and laska toast-enabling! They are some gorgeous, gorgeous dresses (and boots, and pyjamas..) . I keep looking at that chevron dress too. Lovely colours. It should be awful - but i agree, never , there is something about it... (with the buttons open yy). Someone linked to this M and S one on another thread which has a similar vibe. Well, not really, but it's cotton and long with sleeves and buttons and tiers in the skirt... And about a quarter of the price (its also available in another colour with a heart print, but I prefer the green). But not now...

I'm also slightly longing for this one but again, I need to sort out my current credit card. I have one of the denim pinafore ones that laska linked to and they are lovely, but quite a stiff denim - definitely for me a boots/ tights autumn or winter dress - though the one never has looks really versatile.

I really should pay a visit to the new Toast shop in Edinburgh - even though its in the "wrong" part of town for me. Or actually - maybe I shouldn't. I agree with nanasue - best to wait til the sale....

soups - how did you get on with the swimwear in the end (or is it something you don't want to talk about... Wine )? Sounds like if you are ebaying you can justify a couple of the lovely dresses! Where are you off on holiday?

laska That kind of beach day is incredibly exhausting, I find! Glad DGS is enjoying himself, though...

dontcallmelen · 02/08/2019 17:05

Aww Laska sounds a lovely but very exhausting day, hope dgs goes to bed at a reasonable time tonight.
Yy Soups hope the swimwear debacle is now sorted, yy where are you off on holiday?
Not step away from the toast especially if it’s wrong side of town😂
I haven’t ever bought anything from toast, I think most of it would be waaay to long on me & at those prices & alterations cost I think I would need to win the lottery, still I can live vicariously through all the pics/purchases on the thread, also a lot cheaper😍
Well flat saga loss adjuster confirmed they have to go into rental as leaks need fixing, then flat has to be dried out shower room wall down/completely ripped out as with floors, then all to be refitted & decorated good few months at least, hopefully dd & sil will get organised & sort out rental/removals/storage.
Wouldn’t put it past them though, to think oooh lovely very comfy at Mums so just let’s stay here😱

NotAnActualSheep · 02/08/2019 17:24

Oh goodness len - you need to make sure that doesn't happen! What a nightmare for them though. Hope they manage to find somewhere soon. (Presumably covered by insurance? Shock )

When I say "wrong side of town", of course I mean "really posh, lovely side of town that I couldn't ever afford to live in or near..."

dontcallmelen · 02/08/2019 17:46

Not 😂 at posh never ventured part of town, yes thankfully covered by the insurance, just that the pair of them are so unorganised lord alone knows when they will sort it out, it’s fine them being here but it’s tiring.

twosoups1972 · 02/08/2019 18:54

@NotAnActualSheep and @dontcallmelen thanks for asking, I thought I had bored everyone silly of the swimwear woes. Dd has tried everything on and is still 'deciding'. I've told her she'll need to make some decisions soon as I want to return the unwanted ones before we go on holiday. We're going to Portugal - Algarve.

@melen that sounds like a lot of work! Hope they manage to sort out a rental soon.

ilovecherries · 02/08/2019 19:51

Actually feeling a tiny bit pissed off at Toast now. That’s 48 hours since they refunded everything else in the parcel, AND they haven’t replied to my email yet. That’s £110 I’m waiting for for a damaged item - I’d expect them to deal with it a little better than this.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2019 20:01

If its damaged it will definitely take longer. They take a couple of days to get back to me when I email. It has never been that day. Usually the day after. Its annoying cause its the weekend to. Not sure what they will do about that. I mean its clear that the item had a fault as it was ripped. Still I suppose there is a process.

twosoups1972 · 02/08/2019 20:11

That's not good @ilovecherries can you ring Customer Services?

neveradullmoment99 · 02/08/2019 20:13

They really should have refunded you it by now though. I bet it comes through on Monday. Actually, it shouldn't take any length of time. I am thinking back to the time that something developed a fault. You were just returning it like you would any other item. Im sure you will get a refund on Monday but really not good enough.

twosoups1972 · 02/08/2019 20:18

@NotAnActualSheep the Toast denim dress is lovely! But the price!

ShivD · 02/08/2019 23:33

If anyone is in the west wales area, the Toast shop in Llandeilo has a permanent outlet section that is fab- size ordered and with great discount.

I bought the grey blundstone boots last winter and they are fab but we’re £149 not £199!!

mizu · 03/08/2019 09:45

I have that green Paisley TOAST dress too. LOVE it. Just been to Beirut and wore it to death.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2019 11:31

I like hat dress @NotAnActualSheep ( The marks one) but neither colourway would be great on me i dont think. Will you buy ? hoping i can see in rl its 20% off sparks!

neveradullmoment99 · 03/08/2019 11:32

To both posters above - welcome. I dont sadly live near any of 5he toast stores although JL do stock here.
I love my toast paisley dress too. Super cool!

ilovecherries · 03/08/2019 12:06

In proper pissed off at Toast now. Finally got a reply asking for the postal receipt so they can investigate. Given they have refunded everything else in the parcel, I don’t think there is any doubt they got the bloody thing!
