I bought two similar Boden.dresses last year, and I never feel great about wearing them. They are just meh, unexciting and look dated now that it's all about flowing midis! They are my "that'll have to do" day dresses

Soups oh dear,hope it doesn't develop.. good that you can get migraleve.. we haven't been able to for ages ..Boots etc keep telling us they cant get it any more.. Solpedeine is good though

@soups, all the dresses look great on you. I think its down to what will be the most useful. Especially liking the red print boden one [kind of geometric print] That is my favourite.

I’m feeling slightly anxious as I put 5 toast things in one parcel and 4 have been refunded (all diff orders) but the 5th - the very expensive Ikat dress has not.

Im sure its fine but i would email them.

There customer services are pretty good.The do take a couple of days to get back to you.

@twosoups1972 I love the first Boden dress, the mango dress and the Nobody's Child dress, don't think any of them look too tight on the chest tbh. All look lovely.

@twosoups1972 dresses are definitely not frumpy and I honestly can't see that they are too tight on the bust. I think sizing up may just make them look a bit too shapeless? The first Boden is my favourite out of the two, really like the Mango dress as well.

I find Boden isn’t great for boobs. Even my reduced ones don’t fit into their jersey dresses. I really like the mango one, soups.

soups they all look “nice” but if you had to keep just one it would be the Mango which is truly outstanding on you (sorry about DD btw...hope it calms down soon )

never I think seeing the Toast denim pinafore on the second pic if you keep one that’s the one to keep 👍it’ll be useful for the autumn and winter when you’re back teaching too whereas the Hush being shorter may be less so?

Well I am home from the shops with several hundreds of pounds worth of swimwear from 5 different shops 🙄 Please dd, let one of them be ok.....

Goodness soups - - the swimwear saga sounds draining. Hope one of them is OK! Sounds like a evening... (or maybe not in combination with the migraine medication...). I agree with the others, the dresses all look good on you, though I think the mango is definitely the best. I also like the nobody's child one (though not if it feels too small boob-wise) - glad you clarified it wasn't good quality after all . The boden ones are nice too, though seem more formal to me - which may be better if you want them for work?!

never - love the pinafores! The toast one is predictably gorgeous, and much more unusual. It's a really nice shape and the buttons make it really special. The hush one is good too though. I like the pockets, and I agree, it's a bit different because it's long. I think you would possibly wear the toast one more if it's better quality denim etc though?

cherries - that refund thing happened to me too. I think I was on the verge of contacting them, but then the refund came through a couple of days after the rest! Goodness knows why or how it happened, but it was fine in the end...

laska - thanks so much for your offer, but I really should stay on the bench for now. My credit card is sweating... Also, I do have some pretty similar trousers I've remembered.

That's @not. I haven't decided about either pinafore yet. They both have their plus points. The toast one has very supple denim. I think its much darker than the pictures show on the website.The hush one is pretty stiff but I can imagine it lovely with boots in winter.

Cherries, why did the Ikat dress not work for you? Have been eying it up..

solitude, I bought the 12 in JL, which was the only size they had, but everyone thought it was too big. I returned it and managed to get a 10 (NOT my usual size) from Toast as I really loved the fabric. Then when I was trying it on to show my daughter, she noticed it was ripped all down the back dart. There was so much fabric I hadn’t noticed. It hadn’t quite torn apart but it was only threads holding it together.

I’m now rather wishing I had just kept the 12!

The sale is over, soups, everything disappeared from the website earlier this week.

On the dress front, I am keeping the Mango dress, have re-ordered the Nobody’s Child one in a bigger size, and am still considering the Boden ones. I’ve listed a couple of old dresses on EBay today
