Late to this thread but I’ve a question. Has anyone bought the Toast Ashley crop jeans? What are they like on IRL?

I am at a fab literature festival in Suffolk with my 3 dds (dh didn’t fancy it). We’ve been to some great sessions with some fantastic female writers, bit of comedy and music too. It’s got a great feminist vibe to it. Spent a fortune on books!

I’ve been browsing the new Hush collection. It all looks quite nice but very similar to previous years. Love the blue/black print scarf and some of the jewellery. And I’m thinking of jumping on the wide jersey top bandwagon with the v neck version.

Ooh Soups sounds a fab place to be enjoy.
I’m off to the Dior exhibition tomorrow, really looking to it I will try & get some pics & I might just for research purposes pop into Toast on the kings road afterwards & possibly Jigsaw, repeats on a loop the mantra I’m not buying, I’m just looking.

My cord girlfriend chinos arrived and they’re very nice but they have the usual problem I have with trousers/jeans. I’m a pear so if they fit well on my legs/bum they’re too big on my waist. I’m just weighing up whether to try an 8 (doubtful they’d fit my legs) or to keep the 10 and get the waist taken in (which I’ve done before with varying success). Or just return and not keep at all.

@taybert, would love to see them in RL. If you dont want to post a picture of you wearing, could you post a picture of them hanging up?

That's a shame @taybert but if it's any consolation I think that cords are going to be very big this A/W so you may be able to find a better fitting pair somewhere else. I have quite chunky thighs and often find jeans that fit nicely on the waist are too tight on my legs, it's a pain trying to find the perfect pair.

Sorry, they aren’t great photos. I’ve done one with the turn ups and one without. They sit just below my ankle unrolled (I’m just over 5’2”)
You’re right @Ellapaella, but I do have a habit of seeing something I love at the start of the season which has one minor imperfection, then spending the rest of the season hunting for the “perfect” item, which is unobtainable, before eventually going back to the original inspiration, which has by that time sold out.

I’ve ordered the 8 anyway but I’m sure they won’t fit my legs. The 10 are definitely too big on my waist though, even after 2 weeks of holiday.

You can’t really get the colour on the photos, they’re perhaps a bit greener than I thought they would be (but very nice).

@neveradullmoment99 if you want to see them on I could probably do a photo later (I need to clean my mirror ) but the lighting near the mirror is pretty poor so it’s even worse for seeing colours, it would give you an idea of fit though.

I have the opposite problem with trousers. My natural waist is extremely high, so mid rise trousers often won’t fasten, but at the same time, they are huge on the thighs, and sag at the bum, with a flattering jodhpur effect at the hips.

Hmm, we need to swap legs or something!

Has anyone tried the cord boilersuit yet? I have a denim one from Topshop that I got quite a few months ago that I absolutely love. It was half the price of the hush one but I reckon the hush one will be lovely. Am tempted to try it but just ordered the jelly bean cropped jumper and a jacket in the summer sale so not sure I can justify it!

I have serious Dior envy, had a quick look in toast the knitwear is really lovely, actually it’s all lovely😳
Trousers/jeans are my nemesis, I have no bum no hips & short stringy legs have never been able to find a cropped pair that look right, my holy grail is boyfriend jeans yet to find a pair that fit, without the jodhpur effect.

Yy cord being really popular this A/W, taybert difficult one if they fit perfectly everywhere else then could be worth getting the waist altered.

Took a pic yesterday of the Ziggy jumper. It feels lovely, not itchy at all and very soft. I saw the same one in JL last year and it seemed thicker and itchier than this one.
