I love the cream jumper soy - though my pale pink boat neck cashmere shrank to a size 6 in a hand wash.

Right. Navy leather jacket. I do have a leather jacket from Tu’s premium range, and I wear it a lot, but it’s black. I have been lusting after the navy for ages, and I’ve never seen one with silver hardware apart from the hush one. But two leather jackets seem excessive, and maybe not that much difference between the two. I have a £100 gift voucher a client gave me, plus a £20 referral, plus 10% off. Which would make it about £150 in real money. But it feels very self indulgent. John Knox has been sitting on my shoulder for days muttering about over-consumption. So - what do you think?

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:12

Ouch cherries! Thank you!
This one is a man made mix with wool and alpaca, only £27 so cheaper than full price sweats...I can’t see myself handwashing it but the M is quite roomy as you can see in the pic so it could take a little shrinkage (not 2 sizes down though!)
I’m just thinking I’m not really a Breton type of girl but it’s not too obviously Breton/more of a nod to the vibe.
I’ll sleep on it and decide whether to return (or not) tomorrow as it is flattering with the boat neck and cuddly soft...

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:14

I think you should try the Hush navy jacket cherries you’ve been wanting to for ages (like me) and £150 “real” money is amazing.
You only live once! Wink and unlike me you have hardly any leather jackets (I’ll live precariously through yours Wink).
You’ll only wonder forever more otherwise...

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:15

1 blue + 1 black leather jacket is deffo not too many! Grin

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:20

When you have 4 leather biker jackets and 3 suede bikers you can wonder if you’re being excessive lusting after the Hush navy one (that’ll be 🙋🏻‍♀️ Me then... 😂🤦🏻‍♀️)

ilovecherries · 13/08/2019 15:21

You think, soy 😂? Have just realised you can’t use a referral code and the 10% at the same time, so it would be £170. But yes, have wanted one for ages, and never found one on eBay.

OP posts:
SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:27

Try it cherries . You’re so much more sensible than me when it comes to clothes, and you’ll know straight away if you love or not.
Navy leather is not so easy to find in a good biker style, I know I’m “enabling” you but really you can always return like you did with the other two Hush jackets you tried before. Just do it! Smile

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 15:32

I’m assuming Hush wouldn’t be so mean as to not refund you the gift voucher for £100 if you returned Hmm so do check with them before ordering as they wouldn’t honour the £20 referral voucher I used once for a repeat order when I returned an item which I thought was bloody mean tbh.
You’re better keeping your £20 referral for a basic you’ll definitely want to keep tbh...

ilovecherries · 13/08/2019 15:38

I never thought of that, soy, I will check - have also been stung with the referral code - and I was only exchanging for a smaller size. But never even occurred to me that they would give me my gift voucher back.

@Soy love both jumpers. Are you keeping? BTW where are your jeans from please?

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 16:04

Thank You soups! Yes I’m inclined to keep both, they were only £27 each which is the usual price for a plain T shirt. The cream one at the full £69 price I wouldn’t have kept. As it is happy I’ll get wear out of both into AW and next SS too if they wash well.
The jeans I’m wearing are also on the sale (mine are from last year SS) I’m wearing a 12 (though now with weight loss could easily size down to a 10, they’re just more relaxed now but need a belt).
Here’s the link in case someone returns some and you want to try (sadly only 6/8) are in stock atm

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 16:05

Are you keeping the jumpsuit? Smile

twosoups1972 · 13/08/2019 16:10

Thank you @Soy* I have some similar jeans bought recently in the Mint Velvet sale but can't decide whether to keep them.

Still thinking about the jumpsuit - I love the idea of one but not sure this is 'the one' Smile

miffy2 · 13/08/2019 16:30

New stuff! And a lot of green...not my favourite colour.
I am drawn to the midnight sloppy joe (wearing my ancient grey one today) and the Olivia knit cardigan so no surprises there for me :)

I don't see any wow items though. Just wow prices, and not in a good way either - £££!

Still as my birthday approaches in a few weeks I am bound to treat myself to something!
I picked up a fabulously loud PINK shirt in gap as well as a super cheap cream version of my super-comfy-high-waist-wide-crop trousers that I bought in green back in spring. They look very similar to the Hush Chamonix chinos although I imagine the Gap are not as soft.

Laska2Meryls · 13/08/2019 17:34

OOh Miffy ! Thanks!what a great bargain I just bought those in green and they had 20% extra off sale stuff !! So only £18 with postage I certainly dont need Olive Chamonix at £75 if are good..(esp as the keiras I have are the same colour) ) Smile

I am probably going to order the jersey shirt from Hush though..

Laska2Meryls · 13/08/2019 17:49

oh ..and the chamonix anyway, as I have a £20 referral, Knowing me ill end up keeping both!!

twosoups1972 · 13/08/2019 17:55

I'm not specially impressed by the new collection. Some of the v-neck tops and jumpers are quite nice but I'm not ordering anything yet.

@SoyYo I have recently bought several pairs of Mint Velvet cropped jeans very similar to your Hush ones. The ones I quite like are called Meribel but I'm not 100% sure as they are a bit big on the waist (12). I had previously ordered a slightly different style called Nevada (in a 10) but they were really tight! Anyway I've now found the Nevada ones in a 12 which I've ordered so will wait and see what they're like. Just hoping MV will return the other ones, not sure how long it's been since I ordered them.

Laska2Meryls · 13/08/2019 18:01

I had one of these jackets as a teen in the 1970s !! -same styling and the same colour too! ( Mine was a Wrangler) Grin

twosoups1972 · 13/08/2019 18:06

Monsoon jacket here. Worn with MV meribel jeans, they don’t look quite right on do they?

Laska2Meryls · 13/08/2019 18:16

twosoups I think its the high neck you are wearing under the jacket that looks wrong, also the jeans look a bit big on you I think

Nice jacket though , try with a long denim skirt maybe like this style? (I have this one and its great )

noodlezoodle · 13/08/2019 18:21

@ilovecherries two leather jackets is definitely not too much, especially as you can wear them most of the year round. Cost per wear etc... Grin

I like some of the new stuff but a lot of it looks very plain. I like the Judi shirt dress but don't think it would look as good on me as on the model, and the Adele blazer but I think I'd want to see the print in person before I made up my mind. If I was in the UK I'd order it just to try but it's so bloody expensive getting delivery to the US that I don't tend to buy stuff from here unless I'm 100% sure it will fit. May have to wait for my next England trip.

Huffthepuff · 13/08/2019 19:24

Love that jacket Soups is it velvet?

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 19:31

Love the jacket soups but agree with laska you need a different top (v or scoop neck T?) to show it off as the white shirt is too high. It’ll also look great with skinny jeans, I think the MV jeans are “slouchy” so would look great with a more fitted jersey and the jacket too.
It’s quite a boxt jacket so you need something more fitted underneath to show it off in its full glory Wink

SoyYo · 13/08/2019 19:35

miffy glad to hear you got some gap bargains! But the link didn’t work for me it just took me to their front page...
noodles I hear your pain...I return so much Hush and it can be a £££ exercise, let alone if I had to pay P&P and Returns on top! 😫 in any case you have access to amazing shops and bargains in NA so yes stay away unless you’re in love and 99% sure you’d want to keep. Share your US hauls instead! Wink
