Love it OP. I've had two engagement rings - one a vintage sapphire with diamonds on either side and the second a diamond solitaire. I've always thought I'd love an amethyst and diamond engagement ring but I don't want to be married again so might have to just buy one myself

Don't worry, I can't get upset about the manicure comment....I'm in the middle of a house renovation so me and pretty fingernails do not go together at the moment (it's a miracle they're not covered in paint tbh!)
