Was having a browse earlier and saw a gorgeous vintage Burberry coat for £10. Unfortunately it was miles too big for me and would've dragged on the floor if I bought it. I got very excited though as this was the best find I've had at a charity shop so far!

Cloud 9 straighteners for £3.50!

buckeejit · 21/07/2019 23:21

A polarn raincoat for ds for 1 Euro.

Silk skirt for £2.

Mil is the winner though - she bought a 'costume' bangle for £1.75 & showed it to bil who confirmed it was chopard, (verified by jeweller) & worth about £4.5k

JaceLancs · 21/07/2019 23:25

Jimmy Choo snakeskin sandals for £3
I also bought some manolo blahnik shoes on a car boot for £2

Branster · 21/07/2019 23:27

A gorgeous large floppy black leather handbag I really, really liked which I noticed by accident walking pass a charity shop. It was £6, some (apparently) desirable designer label I never heard of, it was unique and everybody commented on it, looked brand new but it weight a ton. Sold it on eBay in the end and couldn’t believe the top bid was . £150. That was about 15 years ago.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 21/07/2019 23:35

A vintage escada belt for £1.50 that was small enough to fit my thigh! Give it to my super skinny SIL. Genuine UGGs for 99p, not my size but gave them to my best friend. Absolutely GORGEOUS Doc Marten Mary Janes for 99p, went to the best friend again! (I have stupidly large feet!).

Sigh, I love a charity shop find!

BikeRunSki · 21/07/2019 23:37

Not on the same scale at all, but a red velvet White Stuff coat, £5.

fastyellowcar · 22/07/2019 00:03

Lovely kids T shirt unworn still with original price tag in of $30 (from another country) picked up for £2
Kids Xmas jumper really good condition £2
"Fat Face" casual long sleeved checked shirt really nice quality £3
A couple of smart work shirts labelled "M&S" between£2-£3 each.
Thicker pair of work trousers, nice and smart, label of "Principles" £3
People have commented on how nice my clothes are recently
Smile
The shop has some lovely river island long shorts in at the moment all unworn with new tags but they are all too big for me which was disappointing!

Bluesheep8 · 22/07/2019 06:12

Just yesterday, a pair of dark wash super skinny levi jeans with the tags still in (but not the price) they were £2.50. Googled them when I got home and they cost £97 on the levi website! Grin

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/07/2019 06:20

All I ever see are bobbled Primark tops. I need to go to an upmarket area!

bellinisurge · 22/07/2019 06:21

My wedding dress. The shop that sold them donated unsold but brand new stock to the charity shop in a really fancy small town. It fitted me perfectly and was the perfect style for me. About a tenth of the price it was originally on sale for. Because I checked.

thedevilinablackdress · 22/07/2019 07:01

Recently...a pair of Oska trousers for £10. Brand new, fit perfectly.

Of all time...a full length black silk velvet skirt. I wore it to shreds (peak Goth).

bluejelly · 22/07/2019 08:41

Unbranded 70s long silk dress that fits perfectly and is super flattering. £4.99

RB68 · 22/07/2019 08:50

I love a good look around and go to regular high st charities in a few towns near me but also 2 Tip shops run by charities which are significantly cheaper than high st but don't do clothes and shoes generally.

Half a door handle - perfect for what I wanted as inside door handle was worn and spring gone but other side fine - was same style - £1

Huge double patio size brand new curtain rail with finials etc - £3 bought for friend

Pampered chef chopping machine thing - £2 again brand new

Beautiful pale pink fluted named china tea set for £10 kept for several years then sold on (12 setting, sugar and creamer and 2 sandwich plates)

Always bought bikes second hand and again Tip shop near us does repairs and sells on especially kids ones

A number of friends have the same hobby and love a good rummage.

ilovepinkgin33 · 22/07/2019 09:03

Floisme · 22/07/2019 09:20

I've had some great finds in the past but even I'm bored with hearing myself bang on about them. Right now I'm having a lean time of it - even in the posho places it's wall-to-wall white trousers and frankly, minging tops. I think the best thing I've managed recently is an unseasonal J Crew merino wool jumper, which I'm sure I'll appreciate in the autumn.

WellTidy · 22/07/2019 09:22

Brand new 100% cashmere cardi from Pure for £6.99. Fitted me perfectly (not easy when you're a petite size and buying from a charity shop) and bought in September, so I had the whole autumn and winter to wear it.

BikeRunSki · 22/07/2019 09:50

Black leather converse boots, hahfva suze too big, £5. I put sheepskin insoles in, using a free voucher I got from Celtic, and they are beautifully warm, waterproof casual winter boots.

On a slightly different tack, I bought a kids NASA space suit dressing up outfit from a charity shop for £10 about 5 years ago. It was slightly too big for my eldest at the time, and my youngest is now growing out of it. It has been in almost constant use fir all that time as had been to so many fancy dress parties, dressing up days etc. We covered the NASA logos with Russian ones, and dd went to works book day as the first woman in space - from her “Great Women Who Changed History” book. We had very little “fun” money at the time, and I thought it was very expensive, but it had been a great investment.

BikeRunSki · 22/07/2019 09:53

Complete set of Horrible Histories books, about 20 of them, £7. They engendered a love of both reading and history in my then 7-year old son.

gingersausage · 22/07/2019 11:43

A bottle of Chanel Rouge Noir at the height of its popularity for £2. Sold it on eBay for £15.

Bellasblankexpression · 22/07/2019 11:47

A mulberry clutch bag that I presumed was a very good fake but turned out to be genuine when I checked the serial!
Haven’t had much luck recently though it all seems to be primark stuff that’s priced more expensively than it originally was brand new

BarkandCheese · 22/07/2019 11:50

I love a charity shop bargain and have had many over the years. Most recent are a pair of me + em trousers for £3.50, a Hobbs merino wool long jumper for £3 and a brand new Boden sweatshirt for £3.50.

PeoniesarePink · 22/07/2019 12:00

My Mum's best friend got a vintage genuine LV handbag. She paid £4.25 for it. She was so chuffed with it, but wouldn't have it from anyone that it was valuable Grin.

Ninegorgeousniecesandnephews · 22/07/2019 12:05

Just seen this old silver cross pram in local charity shop today. I want to buy it but unsure where I’d store it.

Many, many happy memories of my siblings and I playing in one of these!
