Can anyone help me check my colours (with picture)

Before I throw out 80% of my wardrobe....

My youngest is just coming up on 2 and I finally have a bit more freedom, time and money to spend on myself.

I've done a couple of online colour quizes which put me as a winter (though there seem to be different subsets). Does that look right based on my photo? I'm definitely cool toned and wear silver rather than gold.

I think the only thing that's throwing me is that I'm quite drawn to mustard yellow which it seems should be avoided as a winter. Though perhaps that's just because that colour has been all over the place for the last couple of years. Winter jewel colours seem harder to find at the minute (but I do live in the highlands and shops are limited). Thank you Smile

I am a summer and I think you are similar to me, I had self diagnosed as a winter for years but now I've got my head around the colours can see it's right.

Although not all of the colours do suit me so they are not an instruction more a suggestion

Ginmel · 17/07/2019 18:51

If your veins on your arms are blue, you will be a cool season, if they are green you'll be a warm season. Hair colour doesn't come into it.

I agree with others you aren't a winter

JuneFromBethesda · 17/07/2019 18:53

People have green veins!??

I’d vote summer too.

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 18:55

Cool summer colour wheel, I like most of the colours on here and definitely softer than the winter colours.

With your hair when wet put hair serum on it and let it naturally dry and you will find the frizz with tame itself
John freiders hair serum is really good

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 18:56

Sorry, soft summer

Just because you like certain colours doesn't mean they'll suit you. That's the whole point!

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 19:03

I realise liking and suiting aren't always the same but the colours of favourite clothes I've had over the years are on the wheel which is a good start.

I was just thinking how nice your green eyes are too OP. They are a lovely feature and you've clear skin.

There's something called a Blue autumn. I'll find a link

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 19:05

Veins are definitely blue and I wear silver rather than gold jewellery.

Here's Kettle Wells autumn's but I think maybe a soft autumn.

Lisette1940 · 17/07/2019 19:09

There's no use listening to me OP because I'm stuck between deep autumn and deep winter. I have very light skin which has a very slight yellow undertone.

Chartreuser · 17/07/2019 19:09

I can wear most of those summer colourd other than the purples/yellows.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 17/07/2019 19:11

Pop some pics up with colours you think suit you draped.

Your skin tone looks pink to my mind and your eyes are a soft blue/green. Your hair is reading a tad warm due to hair dye - but all box dyes do that.

How do you get on with black?

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 19:17

I dont tend to wear much black, washes me out. I'll see if I can take some pictures with colours I like, I'll raid the kids drawers too to get a better range of colours.

Also your hair is lovely 😊

LoafofSellotape · 17/07/2019 19:20

I think soft summer. My pallette and I have similar colouring to you.

QueenBeee · 17/07/2019 19:29

The colours you suggest sound flattering.
No yellow, green (but maybe emerald), red, unless a bright poppy red. Shades of cool blue would suit you.
I would like to see your hair across your forehead a bit. Instead of back off your face. And maybe a bit shorter and chunkier.

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 19:32

A few colour pics, they probably don't all suit me...

I admit I know nothing about hair styles, but just from the photo I think a layered, shoulder length cut would suit you.
I would also go for a different shape and lighter colour for your glasses.
Your eyes are a lovely and unusual colour.

endofthelinefinally · 17/07/2019 19:36

The middle photo is definitely the best. Look at the colour of your lips in each photo.
you need to drape the colour under your chin/across your chest so that the light is reflected up onto your face.

RoomForOneMore · 17/07/2019 19:38

I have a nighmare choosing glasses as I have a small head and narrow face, a lot of glasses are too wide and I end up with something from the teen section. I dont change them very often as my thinned lenses are £150 each so a pair of specs end uo costing around £400 Shock

endofthelinefinally · 17/07/2019 19:41

I sympathise. My glasses cost a small fortune.
