What to use when every mascara ever smudges

I've tried loads - all high street ones smudge or flake. Double wear smudges, benefit they're real smudges, tubing mascara flakes. EL little black primer used before and then to seal in other mascaras helps but still not perfect.
I permanently look like a panda, don't think I can cope with (or afford!) Lash extensions, any advice or new ones I can try?

I can’t believe EL doublewear smudges on you... that’s my failsafe. The navy one with the gold lid?? (just double checking 😂)

What about no.7 in the gold tube?

Yep. Even waterproof.
Even the double wear with the gold lid.

I have them tinted occasionally but they are fine and almost transparent to start with so it makes very little difference. I need about 2-3 coats to look normal sadly.

Doublewear smudges on me. Some waterproof mascaras do too. If I wear sunscreen, everything smudges. I also have very fine and very fair lashes.

Best solution I've found is Maybelline Lash Sensational primer and Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. The primer doesn't seem to work as well with any other mascara I've tried.

Lash Sensational waterproof version is good but does occasionally still smudge and I find it hard to shift.

Clinique lash power. I've used it for 15 years. It never smudges and comes off easily with warm water and soap. Amazing stuff.

Watching with interest, same problem here too. Someone at work recommended YSL recently but I haven't tested yet, so can't vouch for it.

Tubing mascara - like the Clinique one mentioned above - is the only type that doesn't smudge on me.

Lancôme hypnoses is amazing. The original one. Another tip is to make sure your mascara is not too dry. You can hydrate it with ten drops of eye drops every now and then. Makes mascara last forever!

I had exactly the same problem.

It was the moisture under my eyes that caused it to smudge.

I now use ELF undereye setting powder. It's cheap as chips, put a small amount under my bottom lashes with a concealer brush, and I can wear any mascara now with no smudges

I'm here for hope OP. The tubing ones peel off my lashes leaving a creepy dissected spider look. I had a brief couple of months a few years back when a super cheap boots natural waterproof one stayed put, then it was discontinued Hmm

Lancome one definitely smudges on me. And YSL. And Dior.

I've tried the Clinique one, there was a reason I didn't rebuy it but I can't remember now. Will see if I can find a mini to try.

Will try the Maybelline with the primer too.

Do you have hooded eyes or almond shAped with a small lid etc?

I have this and find even the best smudge on me.i spray a bit of hold spray (Urban Decay All Nighter or NYX stay matte) and that tends to keep it at bay for me.

No, I don't have hooded or almond eyes, it's worse when I wear contact (more blinking maybe?!) But I don't wear them often.

I too have the same problem. Two have worked for me; Blinc tubing mascara (but I think you may have tried that as you do mention tubing mascara).

The other one is Rodial Glamolash XXL. It was a freebie in a magazine but I tried it and it's been amazing - no smudging and lashes look great. Am definitely buying again and it has also lasted absolutely ages so I won't begrudge the cost.

Another vote for Clinique lash power. Waterproof mascara smudges on me, even the supposedly great ones, but that doesn’t. I currently have Glossier mascara which is also tubing and I like this too but it doesn’t give as much volume - it’s more curling though. Tubing mascaras do flake a little on me, but I’d rather wipe a little flake off than spend ages trying to rub off an indelible smudge - if only those stayed on my lashes with the tenacity they stay on my skin!

I had exactly the same problem. You want Clinique Lash Power Mascara. It's not like the rest, it kind of turns into gel on your eyelashes. I am on my second tube now. No smudges even after a sweaty gym work out. I swear by it.

Bobbi brown No Smudge mascara, only thing that ever worked apart from lash extensions for me!
