Just seems so random and odd. Friends, family, other halfs I can understand, just random people I don't get it. Maybe because I've never got anything beyond the usual van shouts,

I told a women (stranger) recently that I loved her dress and she looked radiant. It was true. She had an unusual multicoloured striped dress on amongst a sea of jeans and tops. I also really wanted to know where she had got it from so I had a slight ulterior motive 🤣🤣

I had a dress like that 20 yeas ago. I definitely couldn't wear it now at 42 and not slim (though not at all fat either). You must be in good shape to carry it off.

Maybe it depends on where you live, but I've both received and given compliments to random strangers without it being creepy! Op that dress with a tan would be a knockout, im sure!

I often give compliments and most people like to receive compliments. It's better than picking faults and being nasty. If anyone thinks I'm being odd then so be it.

People would be very upset if I wore that.

I'm too old and fat to wear that, but it's exactly the kind if thing I'd like to wear if I weren't!

Very rarely received compliments from strangers that way (creepy men more frequently unfortunately) but whenever I have it’s really stuck with me and I still remember them years later, making me happy every time I do.

I think the tan must of helped as I wasn’t wearing any make up except mascara
