Oh that's just her old citrine. She's had that since college or just after.

beanaseireann · 02/07/2019 21:07

Speaking of large rings- have a look at Mirka Federer's ring. Shock

Wetdogloveshubert · 02/07/2019 21:17

Harry was out at a National Youth Mentoring Summit for the Diana Award today - well-timed given the birthday yesterday. He's looking a little tired today, bless him! But I like the suit; appropriate and not too Simon Cowell-esque unbuttoned.

Oh dear..I thought the ring was new. See, I got all above myself for a minute there

Wetdogloveshubert · 02/07/2019 21:36

Eugenie was out for plastic free July today, too. Normal outfit for her - black boots with a pretty dress, but more of a v-neck to balance.

Bit warm for knee length black suede boots isn't it?!

MotherofPearl · 02/07/2019 21:46

My thoughts exactly @Laiste!

I always feel that suede is only for winter, which is why though I liked Kate's dress today, I did think the shoes were wrong.

GlamGiraffe · 02/07/2019 21:47

I really love Kate's outfit today. If she doesn't want the dress anymore, she can give it to me. Totally my cup of tea.
Looks really comfortable and flowy and something you could actually wear for quite a few different types of occasions.

Parabolica · 02/07/2019 21:56

Really liked Kate's dress today - taps into her love of 40s retro but it looked fresh and chic and on trend. Didn't mind the Wimbledon bow but not mad on the fussy belt. Think a simple narrow black belt would have been less fussy with a button through dress.

Saw some pics of Sophie at a distillery in an absolutely dreadful Victoria Beckham two piece. Love Sophie but it made her look so frumpy when she really has a lovely figure and usually dresses so well for it. She was also wearing a coat...is it freezing in Scotland?!

Stravapalava · 02/07/2019 22:05

I wish Eug would stop with the high boots and dresses combos. I always think it's faintly trashy!

JaimeBronde · 02/07/2019 22:05

Eugenie looks great, her dress really shows off her small waist.
Re boots: I wear them all year round depending on how hot/cold/rainy it is or just because I feel like it.

escapade1234 · 02/07/2019 22:22

High boots are always trashy when worn with bare legs or nude tights.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/07/2019 22:32

I wish Eugenie would grow her hair a bit longer.
It’s lovely and thick and a beautiful auburn colour.

AppleKatie · 02/07/2019 22:36

I wonder if Eugenie wears those boots all the time because they are comfortable and she hates traditionally fashionable heels because they hurt your feet and aren’t worth the effort.

Or perhaps I’m just projecting what I would definitely do in her shoes there 😂

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/07/2019 22:39

I think Eugenie would look great if she just wore converse.
Her charities seem pretty relaxed; it’s not like she’s going to Ascot. And she’s still in her 20s

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/07/2019 22:40

Harry talking about being a father in a speech

He does appear to have acquired a bit more gravitas.

DevonUkelele · 02/07/2019 22:43

Kate's Wimbledon do is a rare like for me. I love the cute little sleeves, with the button detail repeated on the front. And the collar, and the white.

Agree with others though, the shoes are just wrong. She does need advice from her SIL or York cousins-in-law in that regard. As mentioned, "working shoes" would be tricky with that dress.

And the bag is naff - I don't care if it's actually on-trend!

I thought she looked a bit like Pippa today in some of those pix - unusually, because I can never see much resemblance.

Haven't seen Sophie's most recent effort. But I think she's off her game lately, so another frumpy disaster wouldn't be a surprise.

mikado1 · 02/07/2019 22:44

I agree Kate's shoes don't go, and I don't think I'd put black shoes with a white dress but what with wedges, espadrilles, block heels all being offensive, what is an acceptable day shoe?! I've become so slovenly post DC that wedges are me making an effort!!

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/07/2019 22:45

William and Harry to play in a charity polo match on the 10th July

Kate normally takes the children to polo, and Meghan watches Harry usually.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 02/07/2019 22:52

I really disliked Kate’s dress. It was a boring shape and colour and the black buttons were too jarring. Pop a cap on her and lose the belt and she could have been a 1940s nurse.

However, going with the retro theme, for comfort and “summeriness”
She could have gone with t-bar Mary Janes; even with a song back.

There is nothing trashy about high or long boots however you wear them. Though I suppose wearing them with your birthday suit & a string of pearls could look a little bit trashy 🤣

Spudlet · 02/07/2019 23:35

Jamie Certainly quite breezy! Grin

JaimeBronde · 02/07/2019 23:37

Spud but lovely in this hot weather (well last weekends hot weather) Grin

Calloway · 02/07/2019 23:39

I don't like that little handbag she was carrying. Looked like she'd stolen a gnome's tiny suitcase.

Spudlet · 02/07/2019 23:40

Curly Wishful thinking, but it would be nice to see the families watching together - picnic anyone? Although I suppose Archie will be kept away, to avoid shrieking at inopportune moments, and Meghan being criticised for feeding him (however she does it. Breastfeeding? Exhibitionist attention-seeker. Bottle feeding? Lazy wench who doesn’t care. It would have been the same for Kate when her babies were little).

As it is perhaps we’d better settle for hoping that William and Harry don’t ride each other off into the goal posts...!
