Perfumes you have but just can't get to like

In other words collecting dust on your dressing table?! I've had Daisy for years, and really don't like it. JM Nectarine Blossom and Honey I'm rarely in the right mood for so have had it sitting for years as well. I do like my perfumes though - maybe the problem is I have too much choice!

I so miss Kingdom by Alexander McQueen. (Sobs)

I have Armani Si sitting on my dresser. I like the initial scent and then it goes wrong for.

Ok, I'm really a bit ashamed to say this as I think the reason I don't like it is because I'm not A Real Grown Up... But I don't like Chanel No5!

Also Angel and Ghost which have already been mentioned. Too sweet and Angel for some reason reminds me of Johnson's baby oil and play doh! I know there are others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

The person who said cumin smells like stale sweat. You are 100% correct! I was making chilli recently and thought the same. Couldn't even eat it and gave it all to DH who loves cumin - the big weirdo .

D&G light blue too, everyone raves about it but it makes me heave.

Definitely eBay for perfume you don't like! I sell lots of used perfume on there - if I don't love it I sell it!

La vie Est Belle was my last major fail - loved it initially but way too sweet and cloying on me.

I bought loads of perfume trying to find 'the one' but now whittled them down to just a few for each season!

SJP Lovely. Always gets a positive mention on here as a good but inexpensive scent - smells like cat's piss on me! I did offload it onto someone who does like it though.

I used to love Alexander McQueen Kingdom, but when it was discontinued, I randomly bought another of theirs called MyQueen (I think). It smells like those "perfumes" that you made as a child involving rose petals and your gran's pot pourri mashed up in a bowl with some water.

I used to wear Angel a million years ago and it was 'my' smell... then other people starting wearing it and now I cant stand it. Got bought a bottle at Christmas and I have worn it once. It smells nice on me, but like cats pee on my friends.

Another I bought but dont get on with is La Vie est Belle - just nope. yuk
Ive got a chanel 19 but cannot stand it. Actually Ive never liked any Chanel fragrance - except Coco and that is my Mums smell.

Calvin Klein Eternity, I've always loved most CK fragrances, wear CK One daily & Obsession is my going out scent but eternity made me feel sick, it gave me a headache, I had to bin it.

The Katy Perry one - can't remember the name. It was recommended to me based on things I like and I bought it blind on eBay. Well I don't like it at all, even though DH and DC say it smells fine. I'm wearing it to work to use it up!

It's okay not to like Chanel No 5! I don't like it much either! Wear what you like and like what you wear.

Eternity gives me a headache too

I got Glossier You last year after all the hype. It is pleasant but nothing special. I've recently started to combine it with Jo Malone's Red Roses and it's a revelation. The resulting scent is so fresh, soft, clean and rosy.

I don't like Chanel No5 either. I just don't get on with aldehydic florals. Then again, I do love Fracas and other floral nuclear bombs, so it must be the aldehydes that I just don't get on with.
