To find it difficult to choose an everyday lipstick with a hint of colour?

I like to wear a moisturising lipstick or a lip balm with a little colour in it everyday. I've been using one that I bought on holiday last year which really suited my skin tone and gave me a boost of colour, kind of light berry. It wasn't a known brand and I accidentally threw it in bin when I was decluttering my handbag yesterday! I've often spent money on good brands such as Clinique and then realized they were the wrong colour for me after a few wears. Can you recommend your go to everyday lipstick or lip balm with moisturiser and in a light berry colour, nothing too over the top. Also, how do you go about choosing the right shade where you're whole face comes alive?!!!! I'm willing to spend up to £30. Btw just finishing lunch break so won't be back on this thread until this evening. TIA

I'll say I like the lip oil more than the balm, but the balm is also lovely.

I didn't know BBs had made it to the UK, but it's great for moisturizing.

I had the perfect lipstick before. Topshop - Beehive, they discontinued it and I’ve been on the hunt ever since, I’ve found some nice ones along the way.

My favourites are probably Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk, MAC Plumful, MAC Brave and BareMinerals XOX.

Frog Prince is fuschia pink on me and it stayed on for two days no matter how much I tried to wash it off! I love that it's green and the packaging is pretty but I can't wear it.

YesQueen · 12/06/2019 21:19

@EnidButton I love it! Going to try one of their nude lipsticks I've seen next

Betty777 · 12/06/2019 21:21

Clinique Chubby Sticks (£16 ish?) are good for that lip-balm but with colour thing.
the original ones, not the intense ones though, those have too much pigment (so you need a mirror to apply)

EnidButton · 12/06/2019 21:23

Queen What shade is it on you? It's a completely different shade on my lips to any online. I must have odd chemistry. Grin

YesQueen · 12/06/2019 21:38

@EnidButton a bright but not too bright pink

www.marksandspencer.com/lip-glossy-lights-camera-action-2-5g/p/p22445250?prevPage=plp not sure this link will work but M&S Rosie for Autograph, lip glossy , Super model smile.

EnidButton · 13/06/2019 00:09

Queen It's almost neon on mine 😬 Might give it another try. I do love the packaging.

What about Revlon lip balm stain thingy in Honey. I think it suits most people.

Another vote for Medieval.
Great colour.

Take a loot at L’Occitane, they have a new range of lipsticks, there is nice berry there, great bright yellow packaging.

Sarcelle · 13/06/2019 06:44

I suit a berry lip balm but can't find the right shade anymore. The red dahlia mentioned downthread pulls too red rather than berry, hence the name. Charlotte T's Pillow Talk is a marmite shade. It can (and did for me) look a bit corpse like and the texture is dry, and not remotely berry. The Rosie for Autograph shade in Supermodel smile is a nice texture, but it's a nude rather than berry toned.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/06/2019 06:48

I have a beautiful berry lipstick I wear as a stain and could never wear as lipstick proper.

It’s Lancôme Berry Noir. Too much applied as a lipstick, absolutely lovely as a stain.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/06/2019 06:49

I keep meaning to try Dior lip glow, but usually get distracted by something else on the way there.

LemonyLion · 13/06/2019 06:52

Another vote for Dior lipglow : it's ace!

margaritasbythesea · 13/06/2019 06:54

I have a lip liner that is a shade darker than my lip colour. I fill it in with the pink vaseline pot. Worth a try. I love it.

TwistinMyMelon · 13/06/2019 06:55

Clinique almost lipstick in black honey. Looks dark in tube but comes out a lovely sheer berry

Nyancat · 13/06/2019 06:57

I always have a stash of the nivea lipbalm in cherry. It's a real wash of colour in lovely pink berry shade. Assume it's maybe similar to the burts bees balm, usually beside each other in boots.

clubchair · 13/06/2019 07:31

Burt Bees tinted lip balms are great. They do loads of shades.

ChiaraMontague · 13/06/2019 07:33

Another vote for Lipstick Queen here! Frog Prince is my daily go-to but I’m intrigued by the berry toned one too.

MedalMedalMedal · 13/06/2019 07:49

These are good from Avon Refreshing raspberry is the one I use. They’re not dark, just a light colour which I find good for every day minimal makeup.

I've got the lighter shade of this and it's lovely. I've got my eye on this at the moment

myusernamewastakenbyme · 13/06/2019 08:25

I was going to suggest the ones from Avon that MedalMedalMedal has linked above....they are fab...the peach is gorgeous for summer.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 13/06/2019 08:27

I use the Kiko tinted balms and they're so moisturising and have just the right hint of colour.
