Please help me to find a lemony summer scent

I’ve just sprayed my l’’occitaine vervienne thinking it would be a fresh scent for summer and I’ve it appears to have gone off, and rather than the lemony gorgeousness I was expecting it’s weirdly turned into a curry like smell - which is not what I was aiming for.
Wise people of S&B Please help me find a lovely lemony perfume for a reasonable price, so I can waft around smelling citrusy this summer.

Liz Earle Botanical Essence No 1 is a citrus based scent - really lovely. Worth buying through Liz Earle website as they sometimes have offers...

It isn’t Lemony but Jo Malone French Lime Blossom is lovely with a real citrus smell - I layer it over Lime Basil and Mandarin body lotion - expensive option though.

L'Eau d'Hadrian is great in summer.

Luna sadly French Lime Blossom has been discontinued. It was my favourite and one of the early JM creations. 😢

My favourite summer fragrance is a very old one (created in 1953), but does not smell outdated - L'Eau Fraiche by Christian Dior. The front scent is of lemon with background hints of bergamot. It just reminds me of sunny days by the sea.

I'm also a big citrus scent fan and I think the best one I've found is Hermes Une Jardin sur le Nile. It's part of a range of unisex scents they do, so my DH and DS ensure it doesn't last long though.

I came across it while touring a castle a few years ago and ended up following this couple into a tiny turret just so I could ask them what gorgeous perfume one of them was wearing!

I love the new Dolce & Gabana flanker from the Light Blue range called Italian Zest. (Try the men’s one as well). It’s based on lemon gelato and it’s fresh and light. Of course citrus fragrances often don’t have great longevity, but they’re lovely! The lemony/limey one from the Aqua Allegoria range by Guerlain is also delicious!!!! (Smells like sherbert lemons)

I use two Estee Lauder scents for summer; Eau Fraiche is a light floral, and I always think Sunflowers smells lemony.

There's an amazing lemon based scent from an independent perfume house 4160Tuesday and it's called 'Tart's Knickerdrawers'

Green I am devastated! I loved it. Not a great fan Jo Malone in general but loved this. May try some of others listed here😢😢

Try Turkish cologne, it's a lovely fresh unisex smell, you can buy in large quantities on amazon and decant into handbag spritzers fab.

Yes yes yes to 4711, I love it! Dirt cheap too.

There’s a boots on my way home so I’ll check out 4711 - interesting bottle! I do fancy a really light cologne type smell.

What about Cristalle by Chanel. It's more cucumbery than lemony but very much a summer scent Imo.

If you have a scent that has gone off don't shake it and spray it out until the off stuff has gone. Some of it may still be ok.
