White sumer trainers suitable for walking and look nice?

I've just said a fond farewell to a pair of cheap and cheerful but incredibly comfortable white leather converse style trainers that I've walked the soles off. I need a replacement pair - can't reup on the ones I had as they were a random supermarket kids' rail discount buy last summer . I usually buy trainers for function so I've no idea what is both easy on the eye and foot. Could anyone recommend?

I have a pair of white leather Superga with rose gold eyelets. Apparently they’re mum trainers! But I like them.

Are they converse? They are pretty but does the scallop edge rub?

I can confirm that Van's are extremely comfortable and not too 'clumpy' looking so can be worn with jeans/leggings or a nice floaty dress too!

I love my Vans, wear them all the time and really comfy now but at first they made my heels bleed :( I saw lots of lovely trainers in TK maxx today

Got lovely leather Stan Smiths from And Other Stories - love them.

I've just got Stan Smiths, but they're currently in the making my feet bleed stage. I really hope they get nice and comfortable quickly!

I bought those Nike air force one's a few weeks ago and they are really comfortable

Remuslupins - my Stan Smiths are really comfy, no soreness/blisters/bleeding right from new. I have very odd feet though!!

MrsD - that's reassuring. Weirdly, it's only one foot that they're hurting, so I think I must have weird feet too!

I managed to find the scalloped edge leather converse in a soft grey so have ordered them. It was pouring rain all day and I didn't realise how much I wore the other ones until I couldn't put on my sandals this morning. I'll look at the Nikes too, they tend to suit my feet. I'm going to NY for a few days in July and will have the feet walked off me so might be able to justify another pair especially since the cons will unlikely stand the test of all day walking. I like the look of Stan Smiths, how are they for proper city walking?

I think, if the backs soften up, the Stans will be great for city walking. They are lovely and squishy.

I love my Stans but am startting to feel the need for more bounce so am going back to Air Max....

Remus when I got my stans I couldn’t believe how I comfortable they were, the back but rubbed my ankles to shreds and they were bleeding all the time. I put some insoles in (the half ones that raise your heel up slightly) and they never rubbed again.

Roof - good tip. I've got some insoles, so will give them a try.
