That's also a lovely dress @Huffthepuff
Love these on that website gorgeous
beautiful
stunning

Ellapaella · 14/06/2019 18:12

That's a lovely dress too. But for lunch out I'm going to go with the Monsoon jumpsuit or the broderie top with jeans and jacket. You have some lovely clothes Huff 😍

Ellapaella · 14/06/2019 18:13

I see loads of stuff I live on Silk Fred but am put off ordering as I've heard they are a nightmare for returns. Are they true to size?

Ellapaella · 14/06/2019 18:13

*like not live 🤪

Ellapaella · 14/06/2019 18:14

Actually huff that silk Fred with a biker jacket would look fab for a lunch date too. I can't decide!

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 18:20

Hush Girls so full of fabulousness today!
soups keep it all! Amazing skirt and the jacket is so good too! Not at all big, that’s the vibe and very lovely on you. The tops are great too my favourite is the stripe one which only shows a tiny bit of bra so don’t worry it really flatters your shape. Yes to it all!

Huff where to begin? That jacket is AWESOME and needs an outing every chance you get and if it wasn’t for worrying about you being uncomfortable in your jeans I’d say wear that outfit but the maxi and top and such a great necklace look equally great! So either is a Big Yes from me Smile. The dresses are so lovely too but to me they seem to be a little more formal and don’t shout Bossa Nova and Samba like the first two outfits. You always look beautiful whatever you wear and tbh I can’t think why you want to lose weight Confused.

laska beautiful necklace too! I love it 😍

Laska2Meryls · 14/06/2019 18:27

I think TwoSoups that the Jigsaw jacket may be too small for me anyway, I'd probably need the M as I am a 14 up top ( but they dont have any now) .

Thanks Huff for the jewellery site link , I shall look later, DH has just come in from garden, (so i'd better get dinner cooking as its my turn ..Ottolenghi Lamb Koftas already prepared earlier ..Yum.. ) We may watch another Killing Eve this evening.. Episode 4 already!

twosoups1972 · 14/06/2019 18:29

@laska you could try phoning branches to see if they have a M. Even if it’s not a local branch they will post out to you.

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 18:46

So my turn. I’ve only just finished work it’s been a bit full on since returning. I know you’ll all be busy with dinner so don’t expect immediate feedback.

But laska remember the Jigsaw black dress you demanded I try? Grin well it arrived during my hols and just tried it on with my new Gabor gold wedges. It’s a 12 and it fits, but undecided whether to keep.
Mainly because I kept the silk one already and how many smart summer dresses does a girl need?
It’s very low cut so although I have a whole weeks trip to Prague (and 4 work dinners/5 day work outfits to pack) I’m not sure if it’s work dinner “appropriate”. Please be honest!
Prague Work trip is last week in June.

Then what Soy bought in Spain and luvvs. But sorry no links as purchased from small boutique.
I can tell you it’s all the lightest most fabulous 100% silk and the 3 pieces came to only 10 Eu more than the Jigsaw sale dress so amazing value.
Do you approve?
You can’t appreciate the fabric fluidity and tactile silk but I’m very pleased serendipity led me to them on my last day in Spain.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2019 18:51

It fits you beautifully @soyo. I think you look gorgeous in it. Is it suitable for work dinners? It depend upon how you feel about it being low cut? Could you wear a cami bra in black under it so it kind of covers the top if it bothers you. My vote is keep. A little black dress is perfect not even for just now but at Christmas.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2019 18:53

Oh the Spanish stuff is just beautiful. I Love the print. It is stunning. Definitely approve!

NotAnActualSheep · 14/06/2019 18:54

Right - I'm going back ages in the thread cos i realised I missed loads of posts last time, and then had to go out, and also had a work crisis (always the way, have had a week forcing myself to find some work to do, and it all goes pear shaped at 3pm on a Friday when I'm not supposed to be working!).

Re toast naming...they also seem to be going by The Ordinary Attire STudio, but I think that may be a bit of a backronym. I think the .St is a bit of clever Internetting (Internet domain for a tiny country Sao tome and principle) which they use so they don't need a .Com or .Co.UK domain, and it possibly also helps their Internet hits too? Some friends with the surname Davies (not their actual name) have "@ thedavi.es" for their email domain, with no connection to espana. It's a tiny bit wanky, imo, but not LTB/NC type territory.

laska fab checked toast top, but I see where you are coming from on the pregnant thing. I keep trying that swing shape on the grounds people say it is flattering, but I do find it hard to avoid the ship in full sail look...(me and em do the shape a lot, and I never learn...) The high neck probably doesn't help. Worth a go, but only if you can get free returns!! But if you are holding back for the dhuggie, probably not! Shame you had to send the nomads top back, but the necklace is really pretty.

Hello huff yy on the calming down on the cc. I'm with you there. With the toast order I have kept the crazy trousers and the tent dress but sent back the rest. Was tempted by the grey drawstring dress too, but thought it was too similar (and also a bit, well, grey...). Absolutely gorgeous outfit photos for your swanky lunch. How exciting! I think for me, I would be terrified of splurging something down the portobello top, but the combo of that and the jacket [heart emoji which I can't do on the desktop...] and jeans would be perfect (or looser jeans as ella suggests) - but the maxi skirt is also fab styled as you have (and less susceptible to splurge) - or your lovely tropical jumpsuit. I'm totally unhelpful, aren't I. Grin But I agree with the others on your fab figure.

never oooh good, so glad you've decided to keep the dungarees - they do look great on you. Your outfit today sounds wonderful.

cherries - oh yes - I kept meaning to ask about your stylist course. So glad it is going well! Don't consider comfort vs style - you can definitely do both, and people look much more stylish IMO when they are comfortable and just doing what they do! And you have proved with your photos that you definitely CAN do stylish and comfy. lol at your DH and the bikini! I'm sure you don't look as bad as you are making out...

soups - oh, wow - that skirt is gorgeous! and the embroidered jacket looks lovely on you (yy, will be fab styled with a plain top and jeans or something). And I agree that both tops really flatter you (I actually prefer the square necked one - but that's prob cos I find those kind more useful for me than sleeveless "smarter" ones.).

Right - DH back now so time to sort dinner...

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 18:54

And Finally from chain shop Parfois (similar to Accesorize) attached shades and little summer bag that can be worn cross body or with the belt as a “bum bag”. Thought it’s useful for the rock festival in July and every day use in summer.

OMG Soy! Is that a skirt or are they trousers? You look incredible!!! The jigsaw dress is beautiful and you should keep but the Spanish ensemble is the best thing I've seen you in 😍 love love love

Ellapaella · 14/06/2019 19:03

Oh my goodness Not that all sounds very complicated.. I kind of get what you mean.. I think!😁

@SoyYo I like the dress but the stuff from Spain is amaze-balls 🥰 so a big thumbs up for that. Re the dress yes it's lovely and fits nicely but if you don't actually need another black dress then is it special enough to keep? Obviously a girl can't have too many black dresses though...

I have a major problem in that I've bought quite a lot of lovely summery clothes (dresses, paperbag trousers to name a few) and haven't worn anything other than jeans due to a)shit weather and b) I haven't been out other than to local pub for ages. We're off to the North Yorkshire County Show on Sunday so I'll just be slumming it in jeans again this weekend most likely - with welllies and all! Not very chic or glamorous.

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 19:03

Thank You never and huff
Yes totally a silk girl this summer.
The silk bottoms are culottes they have a long elasticated waist you fold over so super comfy and beautifully lined in the lightest cotton lawn in a pale blue shade as the silk is slightly see through (as you can see in the jacket)
The black top is difficult to photograph but it’s also total gorgeous finest silk with again a light cotton vest sown in to provide modesty and comfort its got butterfly sleeves and the back is low with another piece of silk across. Hard to describe.

Right I’ll have a think on the Jigsaw dress 🙄 thank you again girls!

NotAnActualSheep · 14/06/2019 19:04

Haha - just posted about getting dinner ready before i saw laska and soy's comments! DH is doing it anyway. Lovely man. Total freezer raid, but I think we all deserve it...

The Spanish stuff is absolutely lovely soy [more hearts] . I do also like the jigsaw dress and it fits you really well and is flattering (as never suggests you could wear a thin, low-cut cami or something if you are worried?). yy, it would be very useful year round - not just summer - as long as you're in a heated room! Though TBH I think I preferred the beautiful blue and red silk flowers - just from a wow factor. And if I had to pick, definitely the Spanish outfit! Sorry.

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 19:06

Yes Ella I already have quite a few black dresses so thanks for being the sensible voice here amongst all the lovely enablers Grin
I like it but I don’t Love it like my precious silks from Spain.
I think I’d be better off investing in some new T’s from Hush which will get lots more wear if I’m honest (and get the 30% discount while it’s going) plus the modesty thing is bothering me even if I know I could wear a silk cami underneath...

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2019 19:07

The bag is also gorgeous. Love the idea that they are culottes too. I love how they are a bit sheer. So beautiful. I would keep all of it. I love the other jigsaw dress but that is a summer dress. The black one is an all year dress for nights out. Its beautiful and makes the most of your figure. Keep it.

Huffthepuff · 14/06/2019 19:08

Ella yes silk Fred are rubbish for returns. The process (just reading it) gave me a headache and I didn't return that dress when I really should have. It's by dancing leopard and it's polyester. I've not worn it much as a result and it was expensive. Not a good buy.

Soups I haven't worn the maxi skirt yet as I've only been to work and nursery so haven't had much opportunity. I think it will get worn a fair bit tho, I really like it. Feel like I'm saving it for best so I'll make sure I wear it soon to get past that!

I'm going to wear the Monsoon jumpsuit tomorrow. Tried that on last and felt best in it! Low key with Birkenstock's and erm Soyo's new bag if I can borrow it for tomorrow please? 😂

NotAnActualSheep · 14/06/2019 19:09

Oooh - that bag is lovely too. (See - everyone loves the silk! You have such good taste soy).

I know what you mean ella - it keeps looking as if it will warm up and i get excited and wear a dress for half a day, and then think - "nah - freezing", and put jeans back on. County show sounds fab. We were hoping to go to the Royal Highland Show next week, but DS is going with school we found out, and i don't think he'll cope going twice. Bah. Never been yet - but there's always next year.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2019 19:10

..but if you have lots of black dresses already then return unless your heart is set on it and would regret it.
@Laska2Meryls did I miss seing a toast check shirt from you? I scrolled back but couldn't see it.

SoyYo · 14/06/2019 19:11

Thank You not I totally agree.
Gracias for the Silk ❤️ I’m soo bowled over by them and it comes from a little boutique in our Spanish town. I know the owner and always pop in for a chat. This time is was my last afternoon and hadn’t had time so I said to DH I’ll pop in to see her and she sells my favourite incense so there I was, while there I spotted them! They were actually her most expensive pieces (Italian made) and she told me she took a punt hoping someone would appreciate them.
She was pleased I got them and her little lovely shop really needed that 100 Euro spend that week.
Serendipity for us both as those were the only pieces she stocked of that fine silk and style Smile
