Right - I'm going back ages in the thread cos i realised I missed loads of posts last time, and then had to go out, and also had a work crisis (always the way, have had a week forcing myself to find some work to do, and it all goes pear shaped at 3pm on a Friday when I'm not supposed to be working!).
Re toast naming...they also seem to be going by The Ordinary Attire STudio, but I think that may be a bit of a backronym. I think the .St is a bit of clever Internetting (Internet domain for a tiny country Sao tome and principle) which they use so they don't need a .Com or .Co.UK domain, and it possibly also helps their Internet hits too? Some friends with the surname Davies (not their actual name) have "@ thedavi.es" for their email domain, with no connection to espana. It's a tiny bit wanky, imo, but not LTB/NC type territory.
laska fab checked toast top, but I see where you are coming from on the pregnant thing. I keep trying that swing shape on the grounds people say it is flattering, but I do find it hard to avoid the ship in full sail look...(me and em do the shape a lot, and I never learn...) The high neck probably doesn't help. Worth a go, but only if you can get free returns!! But if you are holding back for the dhuggie, probably not! Shame you had to send the nomads top back, but the necklace is really pretty.
Hello huff yy on the calming down on the cc. I'm with you there. With the toast order I have kept the crazy trousers and the tent dress but sent back the rest. Was tempted by the grey drawstring dress too, but thought it was too similar (and also a bit, well, grey...). Absolutely gorgeous outfit photos for your swanky lunch. How exciting! I think for me, I would be terrified of splurging something down the portobello top, but the combo of that and the jacket [heart emoji which I can't do on the desktop...] and jeans would be perfect (or looser jeans as ella suggests) - but the maxi skirt is also fab styled as you have (and less susceptible to splurge) - or your lovely tropical jumpsuit. I'm totally unhelpful, aren't I.
But I agree with the others on your fab figure.
never oooh good, so glad you've decided to keep the dungarees - they do look great on you. Your outfit today sounds wonderful.
cherries - oh yes - I kept meaning to ask about your stylist course. So glad it is going well! Don't consider comfort vs style - you can definitely do both, and people look much more stylish IMO when they are comfortable and just doing what they do! And you have proved with your photos that you definitely CAN do stylish and comfy. lol at your DH and the bikini! I'm sure you don't look as bad as you are making out...
soups - oh, wow - that skirt is gorgeous! and the embroidered jacket looks lovely on you (yy, will be fab styled with a plain top and jeans or something). And I agree that both tops really flatter you (I actually prefer the square necked one - but that's prob cos I find those kind more useful for me than sleeveless "smarter" ones.).
Right - DH back now so time to sort dinner...
