Hooray for all the tunnocks love! Glad its not just me never! You share my dirty pleasure...
ella - that must be so hard for you. Though I agree with the others, it may well be the making of him, and time for some "male bonding" with his dad. As you say, if he would be going to uni, it would only have been a year later - and living with his dad is much more secure and 'safe", and will be better for him than a student hall I'm sure
.
And kudos to all those who have had DCs leaving the nest. I just can't imagine how painful it is (especially to go to the army len and never - the uncertainty and danger of that must be heart-wrenching - I had a lump in my throat just reading your story len)...but it has to happen to all DCs i suppose. I never really felt how it must be for my DPs - I'm an only child and moved to the other end of the country for uni, and have kept moving further away since - though we've always stayed in touch and visited as much as possible, its not the same. (And now they've had enough and have upped sticks and come to live 20 mins away from us!). I'm going to give them an extra big hug when I see them at the weekend...
Ouch at the boobs cherries. Hope your chilling on the sofa has reattached them.
So glad your trainers are a success soups - yy to price per wear. You have to wear them constantly now, but I don't think that'll be a problem as they are lush.
laska - I think the monacos look really good on you, but it's not easy to tell how they feel from a photo! I know what you mean about the non-stretchy fabric - I always have the kneeling issue with non-stretchy trousers, though to me they didn't feel particularly bad for that. But hopefully the 12s will be right for you.
nink - that's a beautiful scarf. Sad the jacket wasn't a keeper though. I think several people here have felt that with pale suede jackets...it's not worth keeping them if you'll be too scared to wear!
But can i just say "Oi" on the toast dissing...
. I agree it is horribly expensive, but it is really good quality stuff and beautiful fabrics - and all ethical 'n' stuff. I agree on the models, though - why are they so miserable...?! I do think its one of the places where the models actually make the clothes look worse than on "actual" people (yes, yes, models are people too...) - but the cuts are actually pretty flattering for curves and lumps and wobbles. So I confess I have ordered that smock (and a couple of other bargain dresses) and I WILL MAKE IT LOOK GOOD maybe with a belt or something. Or I will not, I will look like a navy tent and I will deny I ever said that, and you lot won't remind me at all... Love laska's jacket and trousers too, though I'm not good at "loungewear"..if I can't go to the corner shop in it it never really gets worn.
I'm with you on white stuff though, frankly. Haven't got anything there for ages. I do have a couple of beautiful saltwater skirts though, never - such lovely and unusual fabrics.
