Whoops, hit send too early. If you like really powdery, soapy smells, they have an Iris one I think you’d adore as well.

Noa by Cacharel is a lovely clean smelling perfume, not too in your face.

I have recently started using Pears original soap in the shower and it smells lovely and clean, and it lingers like a PP said rather than shower gel. Will never go back to shower gel now, I’m going to try Dove soap next. I also use Astral body moisturiser which smells gorgeously clean and fresh.

You can buy proper Nivea perfume on Amazon.

Another vote for PP "dove" roll on perfume oil, someone said I smelled of soap the other day and it's not expensive to try.

Having said that I tried their one called "baby powder" and to me it smells like the air freshener they use in loos - yuk!

The huge soap bars TK Maxx always have work well. There’s at least one in all my drawers. I discovered by accident that if you tuck one down the back of a radiator it works better than any scented candle.

Noble Isle Willow song shower gel (body scrub and cream too), it reminds me of a cool shower before bed last summer, lingers on the skin and smells fresh.

I put unused soap bars in my clothes drawers. I sometimes get nice comments about smelling soapy.

Try Mitchum roll on deodorant in powder fresh

It's very pricy, but Penhaligon's Castille scent is just gorgeous. It goes on slightly citrussy but dries down to a gorgeous soapy smell, but a luxurious soap not a cheap air freshener type soap

The Nesti Dante soaps linked to upthread are often in tkmaxx at knock down prices.
Aside from actual soap smelling soap and perfume, anything with an Iris note smells soapy- as thedarklady says, one of the best is Infusion d'Iris by Prada, but the PP version is even soapier.

The only thing that actually stays on my skin after washing is the Sanctuary Wet Skin Moisture Miracle - the in shower moisturiser thingy. It doesn't smell 'soapy' as such but it does smell strongly of their 'signature scent' for ages.

I'm going yo have to check out Perfume Parlour. Do they do dupes, is that their thing?

I use Nesti Dante soaps now, partly because they are huge and great value but also the range of smells. But I don't find it lingers on my skin, I don't think?

YY to Perfume Parlour Dove and Nivea oils, Philosophy Pure Grace, various CLEAN fragrances and J-Lo Glow (or better still, Terranova China Rain oil, which Glow ripped off, available only via Amazon in the UK).

Also Pierre Balmain Ivoire. Smells like expensive hotel soap.

Body Shop White Musk L’Eau. Lovely and fresh and light.

I find D&G Light Blue a ‘shower fresh’ scent for summer. It’s quite a strong citrus blast at first but dries down to a gentle, soapy scent.

If you want more of a sweet, baby powder kind of clean as opposed to soapy, Villoresi Teint de Neige.

Not the coolest brand in the world but I think J Lo's Glow could be described as a clean just out of the shower fragrance
