It's these ones

BarrenFieldofFucks · 01/06/2019 21:17

I find the straps fall down on the next version. But Palmairas are fine.

palahvah · 01/06/2019 21:26

Ugly shoes are very in :( and I am gutted that I can't see anything in the shops to replace my beautiful elegant bronze gladiators but loads of orthopaedic looking things.

I think they both look fine - I've never really got on with wedges. Are they leather? Because if not they'll get sweaty and slippy...

LadyOfTheCanyon · 01/06/2019 21:27

The colour for me ( I'm unfortunately really picky about colours) of them both looks like cheap " I'm pretending to be leather" pleather. Especially on the second pair. The problem I've found with the first type is that the strap holding your heel in ends up stretching over time and then perpetually falls off your heels, leaving you with shoes that give you a slow handclap as you walk.

Rockbird · 01/06/2019 22:26

I give in! They're both going back, I'll stick to my Havaianas! Grin

Thanks for all the feedback BrewCake

First pair yes second pair no

PinkOboe · 01/06/2019 22:39

Get proper avarcas. I have a pair every summer. I have weird, extraordinarily wide feet and find they meld to the shape of your foot quickly and are very comfortable. I wear them everywhere and have weird year long tan marks across my feet to prove it GrinGrin

I wouldn’t buy them but I dont think I’d notice them on anyone else pretty inconspicuous . Second are a bit frumpy and not in a geeky cool way .

BenWillbondsPants · 02/06/2019 09:45

Don't send them back! I am a martyr to my feet and OH MY GOD these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. I wore them constantly last year without a single pain and now have about 4 different colours.

BenWillbondsPants · 02/06/2019 09:47

Having said that, they weren't from next they were avarcas. Get them!

DameDoom · 02/06/2019 12:20

The first pair look chic and are a bargain - I'd get some myself if I could tolerate totally flat soles but I'd be in agony. Second pair are not great but certainly not shocking - it all depends how you style them, doesn't it?

SrSteveOskowski · 02/06/2019 16:32

It's a nay from me I'm afraid. The wedges are too flat and the first pair are what my Spanish neighbour (who's 78) wears.

Sarcelle · 02/06/2019 16:34

The first ones are not my cup of tea, but have that timeless Spanish vibe. The second pair are frumpy. Keep the first, return the second.

GinasGirl · 02/06/2019 16:50

I have the first pair in Black and Tan, so comfy and go with jeans or dresses. I love them on!

There's nothing like a sandal thread on here to bring out people's 'honest opinions'.
