Walking around my town yesterday I saw lots of women in lovely summer dresses. I am sick of looking scruff in jeans and T shirts.

Share with me your beautiful summer dresses (not too expensive) that you have bought or you are coveting.

I have this on watch as I'm desperate for summer inspiration, so I'm no use at all!

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/05/2019 17:08

My favourite so far, it's lovely on.

Oh I love a summer dress. So comfortable to wear in the summer. I'm a big fan of Boden summer dresses and also Joe Browns. I'm coveting this:

www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+beach-party-dress+wd807?coloursel=A probably best for the beach however.

I also have loads of Boden Jersey dresses and several like this:

I'm also sitting on my hands with regard to this one as I already have absolutely loads of dresses and don't need another one www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+delicate-blue-dress+wd803?coloursel=A

I have this had to size down as it's huge. I'm 5'9" and it's the perfect length.

So do I but I don't you get too hot in viscose in the summer? I think I'm getting old now, as I go to buy things check the label or the fabric content online, then don't buy it.

Same with t-shirts for my DS, TU Sainsbury's you in particular why only 60% cotton in boys tees? It's horrible, I know it's saving money but it's sweaty.

I saw some great Joe browns skirts but mostly viscose too. I've ordered one to try it out as it's everywhere. Confused

Moominfan · 26/05/2019 17:18

I've stocked up on midi skirts and tie front tops. I'm on the chunky side and find these flattering. Not keen on showing lots of leg so these are perfect

EngagedAgain · 26/05/2019 17:28

Catdog, the subject of viscose came up recently, which I didn't get around to posting. I am fairly converted to viscose, and I am usually a bit of a sweaty Betty! I used to be a cotton T shirt type, but prefer different styles now, and there is a lot of viscose about. In the main in our weather it's ok, but on an extremely hot day I'll go for cotton/linen and in a light or white colour if I am in the sun.

Not beautiful, but practical and I like the colour.

Its on sale and I fancy something bright.

I ordered this today, they do the same style in different fabrics and the same fabric in a few different styles. It’s cotton

This is WAY more flattering than it looks, doesn't crease and is so comfy, it would be lovely with a denim jacket (on my list!). Good colour range too.

And I got a fabulous red shirt dress from Sainsburys about six weeks ago, no longer on the website, but they have 25% off at the mo and loads of choice.

icecreamsundae32 · 28/05/2019 08:53

I am 5 foot 4 long dresses do not suit me! I don't like anything wrappy/cross over/low cut as I don't have that sort of curvy figure and my toddler will pull it down and expose me 😂

I like mid length dresses tea dress or skater dress style for casual and a more fitted mid length for more formal

DarlingCoffee · 28/05/2019 14:01

I’ve just bought this one and very happy with it

Gwenhwyfar · 28/05/2019 21:37

Well, there is no hope for me as I dislike almost every dress on this page :(

Ellapaella · 28/05/2019 22:13

Shame @Gwenhwyfar - you can always get yourself to the shops and browse for yourself... Wink

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 29/05/2019 08:05

I'm delighted there are so many midi skirts around this season. They're so wearable.

Atalune · 29/05/2019 08:11

deccax love that warehouse dress!

ChickyDuck · 29/05/2019 08:13

I bought this other stories dress yesterday. It's absolutely exquisitely cut, and so beautifully made!

I bought this yesterday from Warehouse (£36), and can see myself wearing it a lot.

It comes up large though, so you might need to size down.
