Do any of you still wear scarves? Apart from winter ones that is. I was just looking at accessories on esprits website and there were lots of scarves but I can’t remember the last time I wore one or noticed anyone out and about wearing them. Are they completely out at the moment?

Huge checked blanket scarves have been much worn in my area in winter for the last year or two. I don’t think they’re a fashionista choice, but they’re certainly popular.

Robinthecaveman · 24/05/2019 22:44

Same with the oversized blanket scarves in winter where I am too Anyone. This sort of thing though in this picture - I just don’t see anyone wearing this type even though I see them in stores and online.

Good point. I think I did notice a woman with a nice non-winter scarf very recently, but maybe I noticed it because there’s not a lot about. I shall look now.

Time40 · 24/05/2019 22:52

I wear them all the time, but then, I have no clue what's in at the moment, and I'm not even trying to be fashionable.

DramaRamaLlama · 24/05/2019 22:53

I still see lots worn with blazers and wool coats, worn in this style rather than the loop in your picture

Yes I wear them sometimes, either open or as drama posted above.

babysharkah · 24/05/2019 23:29

I still love a scarf, been a bit too warm the last few weeks though

Voice0fReason · 24/05/2019 23:30

I love a scarf.
Couldn't really give a stuff whether it is "in" or not!

I wear one pretty much every day. Just love them Grin

ReturnofSaturn · 24/05/2019 23:45

I wear infinity ones. (I have stitched together a couple of regular ones to make them infinity)

BubblesBuddy · 24/05/2019 23:50

My Hermes ones are works of art! I wear them in the winter. They are surprisingly warm. Summer scarves are cotton and jazz up a plain top. I quite like ones with Pom Pom edges!

DeRigueurMortis · 25/05/2019 00:30

Like Bubbles I have (5) Hermes scarfs.

I love them.

They are so beautiful. Somehow they can just pull an outfit together.

TheZebraCrosser · 25/05/2019 00:33

I have this which is lightweight and works with everything -

That was the mumsnet scarf about years ago, albeit most of us had Ebay knockoffs Grin

I bought this one recently which I love

I love a scarf - makes me feel immediately chic and slightly French!
Even in summer

NeverTwerkNaked · 25/05/2019 06:39

I wear them loads but then I have never really cared what is fashionable. I love that they add colour to any outfit.

TheoriginalLEM · 25/05/2019 06:44

£575 for a scarf????

ExpletiveDelighted · 25/05/2019 06:49

I only wear them for warmth in winter, they get in the way and are generally annoying to wear.

ElektraUnchained · 25/05/2019 07:51

I wear them all the time unless it is boiling. I think I dress alright and get a few compliments but no one has ever accused me of being fashionable!

TheCaddy · 25/05/2019 07:56

Oh yes the scarf. That was me (under another name) and another poster, many years ago that started that. I am sure I still have the emails somewhere from the ebayer whose scarves we all bought. It was bonkers.

Robinthecaveman · 25/05/2019 08:04

Thecaddy I remember the mass raiding of eBay for ‘the scarf’. 😀🙈. Glad to hear some people are still scarf wearers. I love them but since the menopause I’m too hot and sweaty to deal with extra fabric anywhere.

I love blanket scarves.

I might lightweight ones for spring and summer too but seem to find that lots of lighter ones are a bit twee for my taste. If anyone can recommend where to get nice light ones (other than fat face) then that would be great.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/05/2019 08:07

I've got a few , not winter weight ones (I never get cold enough for a winter coat)

They're nice with a plain top, I don't wear jewellery, so a touch of inferred glamour never hurts Grin
