Help, my holy grail concealer has been discontinued...

Ok I know a dupe is a 'cheaper but basically the same' product but this concealer is the best I've ever tried and now it has been discontinued!(Actually it was discontinued last year but I bought a stock in the sale and now I have two measley ones left!)

For those who have never used it, it's a high coverage, thick cream concealer that doesn't melt off or settle into my fine lines.

Does anyone know where I can find such a holy grail!

All suggestions welcome, those liquid ones with a foam applicator never seem to do anything on me though.

Thank you BlushGrin

I swore by that concealer & can honestly say I've never found anything as good :( I use collection perfection 2000 now except it appears so dry after a little while & is hard to blend. I also tried revolutions new one - which is great but lasts no time at all. I tried a rimmel one also which is far too thin & doesn't really cover anything. I was ironically 17 when I bought this 17 concealer & have always had dark under eyes. 21 now & I swear I look massively older just because of no longer being able to use this product.

Thank you everyone, some great recommendations, I'm going to look in to all of them and report back 😊

I just loved the coverage and it lasted all day. The price too was fab but obviously willing to pay more.

I bought five of these last year when I found out it was being discontinued so watching with interest to see what else gets suggested!

Not the same consistency but Tarte shape tape is a brilliant high coverage concealer. Downside is it's a bit pricey and you have to order from the US.

You can buy Shape Tape from the QVC website.

hammylehamster · 24/05/2019 14:16

QVC is more expensive and only a few shade options.

Revolution at Superdrug does an amazing concealer great coverage.

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/05/2019 14:18

This happened to me with Boots as they discontinued their mousse foundation which was the only one that matched my skin.

I wrote them a letter (friendly and half joking) and they sent me two bottles of it with an equally friendly letter saying they were to "tide me over until you find your perfect match".

I thought it was so lovely of them - great customer service. Thank god for Fenty now I have another one that matches perfectly Smile

This stuff: www.superdrug.com/MUA/MUA-Hide-%26-Conceal-Stick---Natural/p/590952

It’s a quid! I’ve tried ‘em all on my black dustbin-lid style eye bags and this stuff actually covers, doesn’t drag when you apply it, doesn’t dry into little lines and did I mention it’s a quid??

Stuff the Bobbi Brown and the Nars at £25 a pop...

DontTouchMyCurls · 24/05/2019 14:43

Hi OP, what shade did you use? I have a brand new still sealed one in Medium if that's any good? I bought one of several things when they were selling them off cheap last year and haven't actually got round to using any of it...it was more as a keepsake for a well know brand going really...

I almost don't want to write this whispers I bought 24. They were half price AND 3 for 2 at the time 😆😆😆

I use a Charlotte Tilbury one for under my eyes www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/the-retoucher-2-fair

DontTouchMyCurls · 24/05/2019 14:56

Ok, never mind Hmm

Neilsfavouritechilli · 24/05/2019 15:10

You've gone through 20 pots of concealer in a year?

origamiunicorn · 24/05/2019 16:57

Ok, never mind hmm

Was that for me? I replied quickly to someone's reply and then had to do a good shop. Sorry I didn't reply straight away Confused

Ahh that's really nice I wish I had done that, I remember thinking I should have at least Tweeted them at the time. I was genuinely gutted GrinBlush

You've gone through 20 pots of concealer in a year?

No, 18 since March last year. I bought 20 not 24 as previously thought.

I have an autoimmune condition that gives me bad redness either side of my nose on to my cheeks so I go through a lot. Blush

Try the Primark range, they are very good

MyPugIsAThug · 24/05/2019 17:29

I sympathise OP. Their Stay Time foundation was literally the ONLY foundation that existed that matched my skin tone, the coverage was perfect and my skin looking AMAZING with it on. Truly flawless. I've got some left that I bulk bought but I'm dreading when it runs out.

Interesting that people here are saying CYO is the replacement. I'm wondering if the foundation will be similar.

I hope you find a good replacement. I hate when this happens.

Yes it was the colour too, I have yellow undertones to my skin and most fair concealers are too pink and medium too orange. The medium one seemed to be my exact skin colour Grin

Thank you both I have some good recommendations now so let the testing begin Grin

My DD likes all sorts of make-up ( Urban Decay, Too Faced, Laura Mercier , Kat Von D , Too faced right along to Superdrug)

She bought a few of the Revolution concealers when they came out (when she could eventually get some , they sold out all over)
Cheap enough to buy a few shades to blend .

They were hailed as a Tarte dupe when released

ThatCurlyGirl · 24/05/2019 18:28

Never too late @origamiunicorn - they're really keen on customer service andif things are discontinued they often have some in the warehouse if they haven't sold through. Worth a try Smile

Jimmy2345 · 24/05/2019 22:08

Look at Superdrug Revolution conceal & define. They also do foundations. It’s very creamy and sticks. I have acne roseacea and suffer big red patches and this covers it best out of everything I’ve trued.
