Help, my holy grail concealer has been discontinued...

Ok I know a dupe is a 'cheaper but basically the same' product but this concealer is the best I've ever tried and now it has been discontinued!(Actually it was discontinued last year but I bought a stock in the sale and now I have two measley ones left!)

For those who have never used it, it's a high coverage, thick cream concealer that doesn't melt off or settle into my fine lines.

Does anyone know where I can find such a holy grail!

All suggestions welcome, those liquid ones with a foam applicator never seem to do anything on me though.

Thank you BlushGrin

Argh I changed the title of my post from "Dupe of this concealer needed" and now the first line of my post makes no sense.

I'm having a mare here 😆

NO! Found that so much better than the Benefit original. Will watch with interest.

origamiunicorn · 23/05/2019 19:51

The whole 17 range has been discontinued would you believe!

I know it's "for teenagers" and I'm in my 30s but they had some blimmin' good products so they did!

It looks similar to one of the Lush ranges.

LoafofSellotape · 23/05/2019 20:01

The Seventeen range has been rebranded and is now CYO in Boots, have you looked to see if there's an equivalent?

origamiunicorn · 23/05/2019 20:04

LoafofSellotape Yes I have, there's nothing remotely similar unfortunately Sad

Ohyesiam Thank you I'll have a look

At £1.35 the CYO one must be worth a pop!

IDrinkAndISewThings · 23/05/2019 20:04

Ah, cross post

origamiunicorn · 23/05/2019 20:07

*LoafofSellotape Thank you I didn't see this in store at all they just had the stuff in tubes. I'll check this out too.

The foundation is really good so hopefully it'll be decent.

Isn't there a Rimmel concealer that is similar?

Pinkyyy · 23/05/2019 20:13

I'd avoid any Lush products, seen nothing but bad reviews for them. Nars do something similar to this which is great.

frugalkitty · 23/05/2019 20:15

I share your pain (I have a few stashed in the drawer!) No idea what I'm going to do when they've gone. I did wonder if they'd remake it under the No7 name (and charge more for it) bad that hasn't happened.

frugalkitty · 23/05/2019 20:18

The CYO one is nothing like phwoar paint. There's a couple on eBay though, about £9 if you don't mind paying that much. Not mine, I hasten to add!

Xxalisoncxx · 23/05/2019 23:16

I totally sympathize, I loved that concealer, the pressed powder, the HD mascara- I think it was called and the stay time foundation. I know not a cream but -the revolution concealer, I’ve been using for months £4 and one of the best I’ve ever used x

EatenByDinosaurs · 24/05/2019 00:21

Is it like the Benefit Erase Paste? Is that the one you mean? If so NYX do a dupe of erase paste which looks very very similar to the Phwoar. I can't remember what its called I'm afraid.

Pixi also do one, Correction Concentrate in brightening peach I think. The pixi one is supposed to be better than the Benefit one.

Isleepinahedgefund · 24/05/2019 05:59

CYO isn't a rebrand off Seventeen, it's a whole new brand.

I'm afraid you're going to have to go on the Great Concealer Hunt.

Concealers have changed so much recently, there's some great options out there for not much £. What is it that you particularly like about it? The consistency? The coverage?

As a starting point, have a look at the ELF camo concealer (£5, Boots) and the Revolution concealer (£4, Superdrug). Don't be put off by the packaging (they're both tubes rather than pots). People also rate the Collection concealer, although it doesn't come in many shades.

MCC85 · 24/05/2019 06:04

I'm having the same issue with my 17 cream bronzer.....I stocked up and not my stocks are depleting, please Boots bring back 17!

Darklava09 · 24/05/2019 07:45

Revolution concealer is £4 and is thick and creamy

Or nars concealer pot is £24 and this is also v.good

Maybelline eraser eye is also worth a shot

StarI loved it too, but I've recently discovered the e.l.f Camo Concealer, it's high coverage, has great reviews and it's very cheap.
I love it, but if anyone knows of a better one, let me know.
Hope this helpsStar

NoBaggyPants · 24/05/2019 12:09

@Pinkyyy I don't understand your comment. I'm sure I've seen you post your praise of Lush before. Why the sudden change in opinion (and seemingly forgetting that you use the products)? It's bizarre!

NoBaggyPants · 24/05/2019 12:12

CYO is Boots own brand, and given the timing of its launch and how similar the products are, it does appear to be the replacement for 17.

FiremanKing · 24/05/2019 12:21

Believe it or not but this cheapo concealer is excellent. Apply with a small concealer brush.
