Our school also struggles to find parent governors but that's mainly because they only want you to apply if you can 'add value' either in terms of professional services such as auditing, accounting or data analysis, or have a proven record in fundraising.
It is not a school with the kind of catchment which would offer a wealth of parents with those skills. It is a shame that governing boards have been professionalised to the extent that an ordinary working parent is no longer wanted, but that is the result of schools being academised.
Anyway. I have a top I love which has flouncy sleeves. I look good in it. I rarely wear it because you can guarantee that before I leave the house I have dragged at least one of the sleeves through something, and probably knocked over a cup of tea with the other one. I'd be a disaster in Max wear, I'd probably knock someone off their bike in one of her hats!
