Perfume for my wedding day

I am getting married next month and would love recommendations for a long lasting fresh clean smelling perfume. I want something different to my everyday perfumes (Hugo Deep Red, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet and Penhaligons Juniper Sling) any ideas very welcome!

I wore Happy by Clinique. 20 years later it’s still my go-to perfume. Maybe I would have worn Happy Heart if it had bern available then.

I used Jo Malone Tuberose Angelica- it's one of their intense colognes so has more whiff. I really like it, but fragrance is really personal so I would try to have a sniff before you buy anything. However rumour has it Jo Malone are doing one of their spend £70+ and get a free gift thing next week, so if there is something you fancy it's a good time to buy.

Diptyque Sens?
Any of the 3 varieties of Lancome O D'......?
L'eau D'issey?
Elizabeth Arden White Tea/Green Tea?

Bisset · 14/05/2019 19:41

Eternity by Calvin Klein.

catenthusiast · 14/05/2019 19:43

I wore red roses by Jo Malone - me, my mum and my bridesmaid went to a "scent consultation" (basically a free hand and arm massage and an opportunity to have a good sniff) in store and picked it out. It's free, you just have to book online Smile

StillWould · 14/05/2019 20:06

A scent consultation sounds amazing. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions!

I got married last year. I wanted a fresh light smelling perfume as well. I got a perfume consultant type person in Debenhams. She took me straight to Perla. I loved it. I even got the male one for DH.

Sassandfaff1 · 14/05/2019 21:51

La Perla*

LorelaiRoryEmily · 14/05/2019 21:54

I wore Hugo Boss The scent. Love it. Dh bought it for me(I chose it) he wore the male version. Puts me right back at the altar every time I wear it.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 14/05/2019 22:01

I wore Chanel mademoiselle

Thedarklady · 14/05/2019 22:04

If you do like Jo Malone, they sell some of their 100ml versions with a bridal lace design printed onto the glass of the bottle. Perhaps Pear & Freesia or the Nectarine Blossom & Honey would be nice? They're doing an offer soon as well.

Furthermore, Perfume Parlour sell Jo Malone roll on perfume oil copies (in tiny sizes too) - so you could apply the PP oil and then spritz on the JM original and that way, the scent will last.

Zampa · 14/05/2019 22:09

If you like tuberose, try Amarige (anagram of the French for marriage!) or Estée Lauder's Tuberose Gardenia. Both beautiful white floral scents.

Stravapalava · 14/05/2019 22:57

I wore Armani Diamonds on my wedding day. It might be a bit "sweet" for your specification but it's very fresh.

wildhairdontcare · 14/05/2019 23:02

Jo Malone wild bluebell was my something blue! I layered it with pear and freesia body cream.

Jacksback · 15/05/2019 06:06

MintToBee · 15/05/2019 10:05

I'm getting married in two weeks so I've just ordered dupes of some of these through perfume parlour so see which ones I like .

professionalnomad · 15/05/2019 11:20

I had Jo Malone's Wild Bluebell on my wedding day after a 'scent consultation'

StillWould · 15/05/2019 12:48

I love Burberry body not too strong but lasts long and lovely smell. Also a fan of the miss dior perfumes.

Mitsouko67 · 16/05/2019 21:29

Diorissimo was mine. Nice for this time of year as it's lily of the valley.

WeMarchOn · 16/05/2019 21:32

I can't remember what i wore at my wedding 12 years ago but my day to day perfume is Lady Million

AesopsMables · 16/05/2019 21:35

I wore Estée Lauder White Linen for mine (80's)

Now wear
Prada Iris or Byredo Blanche for daytime

happymummy12345 · 16/05/2019 21:39

I wore my favourite angel.
