Got this yesterday. It's not normally something I'd wear but I love leopard print. Is it too loud? Will I stick out like a sore thumb in the playground? 😬🤦🏻‍♀️

Pat Butcher.

HundredMilesAnHour · 05/05/2019 19:54

Sorry OP, that's awful. Really awful. Pat Butcher is exactly right!

Harebel · 05/05/2019 19:55

Love it!

Widowodiw · 05/05/2019 19:55

I think the problem with it is that is looks like a shirt rather than a jacket/ coatingan or coat. Nothing wrong with leopard print if you time it down with black but I don’t think this has enough wow factor as it just looks like a shirt.

Expressedways · 05/05/2019 19:58

Sorry I quite like a bit of leopard but that is awful (it’s the shape).

Drogosnextwife · 05/05/2019 20:00

I think it might look good if you go quite plain, jeans, white tshirt, white trainers or all black. Anything else might be a bit much.

KetchupOnRoastDinner · 05/05/2019 20:02

Can you take another photo with you wearing it? It does look quite boxy on the hanger, but that is sometimes misleading...

BlueMerchant · 05/05/2019 20:03

It's too much. FAR too much.

nannyplummyarse · 05/05/2019 20:04

Pat butchers a ledge 😜

It's a very light weight jacket shirt thingy I can't really describe it. I'd wear it with all black, leggings/jeans and a long tee and trainers. It's a big fit boyfriend sort of fit.

Oh and it's got drawstrings inside so you can pull the waist in.

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 05/05/2019 20:06

is that FOUR patch pockets?

I like leopard as much as the next woman Bet Lynch but I do think it needs to be a simple cut and no frills and frou frou .

I think patch pockets are very very too much

nannyplummyarse · 05/05/2019 20:06

I'll get a pic with it on tomorrow. I'm in my pjs now lol.

OP posts:
nannyplummyarse · 05/05/2019 20:07

@MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours what are patch pockets?

OP posts:
waitingforseagulls · 05/05/2019 20:35

patch pocket is a piece of fabric sewn on to the front of a garment to form a pocket. As opposed to e.g. a hidden seam pocket where the opening is in part of the side seam, or like a trouser front pocket where the opening is on the front of the garment but the pocket " pouch" is inside.

Fairylea · 05/05/2019 20:39

If you went for black skinny jeans and sparkly silver boots and a neon top it could look a bit Noel Fielding.....

IHaveBrilloHair · 05/05/2019 20:41

Um, well it's not my thing, but I'm sure Liz McDonald would love it.

HundredMilesAnHour · 05/05/2019 20:43

How old are you OP?

The pockets, the rolled-up sleeves, the drawstring waist.....it's all really frumpy. Like it's trying to be edgy but has failed massively. If you're 18 and size 8, maybe you can get away without it looking totally hideous but anyone older/bigger is going to look like they're wearing a very dodgy anorak. I think this is the most hideous item of clothing I've ever seen anyone post on Style & Beauty actually.

Bluntness100 · 05/05/2019 20:46

That's so bad I'm not sure this is a serious post if I'm honest.

nannyplummyarse · 05/05/2019 20:56

Ah no there not patch pockets there actual pockets.

@HundredMilesAnHour 34. Umm it's from river island. I don't think they do anything grumpy Confused and I'm a size 8-10 if that makes any difference.

That style of jacket is everywhere at the moment - all over the high street. Not entirely sure about the leopard print though - but I think it would be ok with some plain jeans and white trainers.

Ellapaella · 05/05/2019 21:08

It's what they call a 'shacket' - cross between a shirt and a jacket.

BellMcEnd · 05/05/2019 21:09

Love it!

SouthWestmom · 05/05/2019 22:32

Oh I tried those trousers on today. Really uncomfortable because the seams rub - they aren't lined. Plus I'm an 8-10 and the 10 felt really tight. They looked like a bad version of something Primark would do.

The jacket is not nice.

OrrellMama · 05/05/2019 22:35

I'm not a fan .. sorry Confused
