3/4. It's a complete pain. Also, very narrow feet. I suspect my true size is 3.5, but it's very hard to get half sizes, in fashionable looking shoes anyway. I'm okay with a 4 in boots, but anything slip on has to be a 3.

I'm 5'3", so probably about the right size for me height, though people frequently say "Oh your feet are so small!"

steppemum · 29/04/2019 10:29

size 10.
was 9.5 pre children.

Hopelessly difficult to buy shoes. Especially nice ones. Feet are long and narrow and men's shoes are always too wide, so can't even buy mens.

I can't wear what suits me as I now have painful big toe joints, so it is 100% flat, and easy to get on. I live in boots, and then thick soled sandals. Hate trying to work out what to wear in spring and autumn

I'm tall, 5'8" and feet don't look particularly big for my height.

Frazzlesandacoke · 29/04/2019 10:34

5' 2" standard UK size 4. No problems at all buying shoes/boots except for slightly big calves for some longer boots. Happy to order on line without worrying that they won't fit.

IntoValhalla · 29/04/2019 10:36

U.K. size 4.
I never have trouble buying shoes - if I’m buying casual flats or trainers, I can usually get away with buying from the kids section and saving myself a few quid Grin
My mum and my sister are both the same size as me, so we all raid each other’s shoe collection if we don’t have something that fits the outfit/occasion in our own wardrobes.

Lweji · 29/04/2019 10:38

UK size 3, sometimes going up to 4.

PickAChew · 29/04/2019 10:41

Measure something like 5EEE. Usually wear a 6. My feet are very wide at the toes and my arches have fallen and I have very sensitive achilles tendons and buying shoes often reduces me to tears. If I find something that works, I often buy another, the same.

FiremanKing · 29/04/2019 10:43

Length is a 5 but as I have wide feet I often buy a 5.5 if half sizes are available. A 6 is too long if I were wearing sandals but I can get away with a 6 in boots and wear thicker socks.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 29/04/2019 10:46

generally i'm a 4.5 but can sometimes wear a 4 if the brand is generous and if its not i sometimes need a 5. very hard to find half sizes a lot of the time though

RomanyQueen1 · 29/04/2019 10:48

I measure 2.5 but usually wear a 3 in trainers and casual shoes.

sanityisamyth · 29/04/2019 10:52

6.5 or 7

SmallestInTheClass · 29/04/2019 10:58

2-3, depending on the style. Great for trainers (wear kids ones) rubbish for work shoes, party shoes and smart boots. Sarenza is my saviour.

Bluesheep8 · 29/04/2019 12:21

Size 5 or 5.5. I'm 5 ft 6 ish

Rooftree · 29/04/2019 12:48

I don’t think the op’s sizing is right, surely those larger sizes are American sizing?? Size 9-10
Is pretty big for a woman in uk sizing but if American that takes it down two sizes in the uk

BikeRunSki · 29/04/2019 13:51

I agree Rooftree. I am a UK9, and definitely an outlier.

MrsBennetsnerves · 29/04/2019 14:01

I'm fairly tall and am a size 9 in uk sizing, 43 euro. Used to be an 8 years ago but my feet have got bigger.

HoldMyGirl · 29/04/2019 14:04

I'm a 5 in everything, but have to wear a 6 in Converse 🤷‍♀️

WatchingTheWheels85 · 29/04/2019 14:05

Uk 3 and I'm 5ft 2.

MrsPnut · 29/04/2019 14:34

I’m in the UK size 9 club too and a Euro 43 also fits but a 42 is too small. It is such a pain buying shoes and I have hundreds of pairs that have been worn once.

Still18atheart · 29/04/2019 14:38

Sometimes 5 but normally a 6-7 ideally 6.5. Depends on brand. Guess I’m pretty much average. However, I sometimes struggle to buy shoes as my heels are very narrow so tend to slip off even if they are a good fit size wise, iyswim.

toffee1000 · 29/04/2019 14:41

Size 5. Or a 5.5. Buying shoes is fine. Am about 5 ft 5.

MountainDweller · 29/04/2019 14:45

I'm 5'3 and a size 6.... so far so average! But I have very wide feet and find shoe shopping a complete nightmare. In fact I rarely wear ordinary shoes - I go straight from boots to sandals!

steppemum · 29/04/2019 15:00

Size 9-10 Is pretty big for a woman in uk sizing but if American that takes it down two sizes in the uk

hmm, elle Mcpherson and Jerry Hall are both pretty tall aren't they? Woudln't be surprised if they were size 10. I am size 10, there are a fair few of us around!

slug · 29/04/2019 16:00

5 foot 8
Size 8 or size 41

I'm probably a 7.5 but
a) half sizes are difficult to come by in bigger sizes
b) I have very wide feet so going up a size is often the only option.

It makes buying online difficult.

PortiaCastis · 29/04/2019 16:10

I'm 5ft.8 so I take size 8s UK size
Dd is an inch taller and takes size 9s

Aragog · 29/04/2019 16:22

I take a size 3, but only just. Some shoes at a 3 are too big. Children's shoes don't really work either though as they're often too narrow compared to an adult shoe's size 3.

Can be a pain as several fashion makes don't start until a 4.

And heels don't always work as the heel height on a small shoe feels really steep!
