Ok, help me out please!
Now the weather is getting nicer I’ve started to wear these shoes with skinny jeans.
Only problem is that at least 3 different people have asked if I’m wearing my slippers.
Popped into work yesterday and a colleague and customer both said “ooohh, you’ve popped in in your slippers” and “nice slippers”
I’m mid/late 30s and I’m my defence the offending shoes are from Fat Face which I thought was semi trendy!

I really struggle with sore feet. I have bunions, flat feet, wide fitting and plantar fasciitis, and these shoes are so comfy 😩

I wear these. They’re hideously pricey now for what they are (used to be about 30/40 quid when I 1st bought a pair but they are soooooo comfy and go nicely with skinny jeans.

Are the ones in your first picture very old? I’m sure I had some of those years ago! I get a new pair every year. Great for pottering around town.

They do look a bit like slippers. But I like them. I saw them in catface a while ago and was tempted. Also sob mid thirties

I really like them! I wear these. They aren't to everyone's taste, but I love them 😂 Everyone that sees them thinks they're slippers. My gran couldn't believe her eyes yesterday 🙄

If they were comfy then I'd wear them and not worry about what other people think. But then I do wear slippers out because I've got some that have a Moroccan vibe to them, they're fabric 'sliders' with all the comfort of slippers 🤷‍♀️

I think they look like shoes and I see plenty of people out wearing them as shoes. I thought you were going to post a picture of the ones James Stunt wanders about in, but your ones are fine!

I've had these Fat Face shoes for several years, OP, and no-one has ever asked me if I'm wearing slippers! I think you have just been unlucky. I would ignore them and carry on as you were.

As a side note, mine are a bit tatty now. I might treat myself to a new pair
