And then you think “maybe I should buy the same in a different colour”! Trying to resist as I really don’t need more clothes but just bought a dress from Uniqlo that I really love.

Ah but the second colour doesn't always have the same effect. You may love the one you've got... but won't mean you'll like the 2nd one..

I do that. Uniqulo is not too expensive. If you love it and wear it it is a sensible thing too do.

I may wear it belted. I am quite petite so it’s long on me but looks surprisingly nice (at least to me!).

When I find something I love [1] then I buy multiples in the same colour.

To pass the test it must in a colour I love looking at you olive green , in a shape that is perfect for me , emphasises the good bits and smooths over anything else , is natural fabric so breathable and not a pain to wash and ideally not need ironing.

No one really notices what I wear but most of what I wear I love, which makes me happy.

I love Uniqlo! I've bought the same thing in different colours before - and when it comes to jeans, in the same colour. In fact I'm still sad I didn't buy several more pairs of my favourite M&S jeans before they were discontinued... sigh

But screw what anyone else thinks, if you love it, and can afford it, buy it in every colour or you’ll regret it.

Buy another identical to the one you love, and other colours.

I do this a lot with shoes. I have size 9 feet, finding nice shoes that fit is hard!

I've absolutely brought the same thing in different colours but those colours are very much off different palates. Only do it if you are sure in the colours.

I love that dress!! I've been looking for a similar thing for ages. I've just put the black one in my basket and I'm deliberating the paisley one. It's lovely OP buy a second one. And it's got pockets 😁

I like the dress, I’d wear it! It’s all in how you wear it, isn’t it? Something that you really love, that makes you feel great when you wear it, will always make you look good.

But yes, it depends whether the other colour ways actually suit you. Be ruthless about sending it back if it isn’t quite right or if you don’t actually love it.
