Just had a quick look at the Instagram pics of HM. Meg’s must be “curating” it because in the one of herself with Hazza and HM, Meg looks fab while the other two..just don’t. I’m sure she could’ve found a photo which was flattering to everyone but I think she liked that one best! I’m not trying to be bitchy, I just have two teen girls and they can’t seem to help focusing on picking the best pic of themselves even if they rest of us look awful! I think it’s just a hazard of spending a lot of time on social media.
I think Meghan has had a very rough go of it. No one has had to step into a role the way she has as a woman from another country with such high visibility in the RF. Also, the very reason she succeeds and is so polished in these events - the fact that she is a professional actress - seems to be a double-edged sword.
I think to want to be a very famous actor (female or male) you must be somewhat of a narcissist to enjoy that amount of attention and scrutiny. That doesn’t mean I think she has any kind of mental disorder, just that surely it’s the nature of the beast? So being an English style upper-crust Royal, somewhat boring, tweedy, country gal, prefers to shun the spotlight was never on the cards. Diana was to the manor born but because she preferred city life and hated country pursuits she always struggled to fit in.
It reminds me a bit of Madonna who played around at being a posh Brit and got bored of it. It was another role, another persona.
I think being outside the U.K. could be very good for M & H, being able to have some breathing space and find their feet, especially as new parents, could be the making of them.
Unfortunately I think the “men in suits” have one goal: the survival of the British Monarchy. They seem especially terrified of women and seem to have no idea what to do with them if they don’t behave in a subordinate way, a la Catherine and Camilla. Look how Diana and Sarah Ferguson were treated - with utter ruthlessness. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what Harry fears, his wife getting it in the neck from the Tabloids and the establishment. That might explain why he has looked so stressed and tense since his marriage, he seems very protective.
