Will Kate emerge from her Norfolk seclusion sporting a bigger than ever Alice band? Will the Mail and Express stories about Meghan get more ludicrous by the day? And will this thread see the arrival of Baby Sussex? All will be revealed in due course...

Meghan surely must be in the ginormous, Haribo-scoffing, sobbing part of pregnancy now.

The Queen's birthday would be a lovely day for a grandchild.

SlipperOrchid · 19/04/2019 17:14

If born on the Queen’s birthday, a girl would have to be named Elizabeth surely.

brizzlemint · 19/04/2019 17:16

It's been hot today as well, hopefully Frogmore is nice and chilled with those stone walls. Woe betide any journalist who dares try to shoot a picture through them!

Do you think we all need to get a life? Grin

beanaseireann · 19/04/2019 17:31

Mummylovesbags
Interesting they haven't updated their Instagram. I think you are on to something there. Wink

Mummylovesbags · 19/04/2019 17:44

@foreverwashing no woman is immune to it
@brizzlemint I laughed out loud. Am so relieved to have other people that relate to my OCRD (obsessive compulsive royal disorder).

frugalkitty · 19/04/2019 17:51

It would be lovely if the baby comes on the Queen's Birthday, my first baby was born eventually on my Nan's birthday and she was thrilled. She always said that he was the best birthday present she'd ever had Smile

Mummylovesbags · 19/04/2019 17:52

@beanaseireann there’s not much happening in my life right now, let me have this WinkGrin

Mummylovesbags · 19/04/2019 17:54

@frugalkittty that’s so lovely, I don’t imagine a Grandparent could want for a happier coincidence 😊

Butterymuffin · 19/04/2019 18:09

Yes, I think something's happening if the Instagram has gone quiet. Because even though I wouldn't imagine they post their own stuff or even OK it all, any 'normal' posts on the account at the moment are effectively saying 'No news, nothing happening on the baby front', otherwise it's deliberately misleading, and the statement didn't suggest that would be done, only that when something did happen they might stay quiet about it initially...

Jessikka · 19/04/2019 18:14

I read yesterday that Prince Charles is due to leave the country on May 6th. He has stayed in the country for the other GK so safe to assume Baby Sussex will be born in next week or so, as it gives Charles a chance to meet the Baby?

Exciting!

LoversLane · 19/04/2019 18:30

I still have my money on baby Sussex sharing a birthday with prince Louis

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/04/2019 18:39

I don’t think the Sussex Royal instagram account is that busy, at the best of times.
If it’s an induction, surely it will be from Tuesday onwards. There will just be a skeleton staff in any hospital. I’m sure the drs are not far away, but they’ll be on holiday.

I reckon Harry has probably improved in bed since he’s been with Meghan.
I reckon the princes don’t get a lot of feedback, so probably don’t improve that much.

Mummylovesbags · 19/04/2019 18:54

@CurlyWurlyTwirly hilarious but a brilliant point about feedback ! I don’t envy the wives of royals, i think there would be much ego stroking.

Aberforthsgoat · 19/04/2019 19:00

Haven’t been on this thread for a while, crikey the content has changed a bit Grin

motheroftinydragons · 19/04/2019 19:13

@CurlyWurlyTwirly There won't be a skeleton staff where MM is concerned... her doctors/midwife/doula whoever will be on call 24/7. Can you imagine - "Right it's go time lads, baby Sussex is on it's way/induction has been requested today"

"Sorry chaps, it's Easter I've got chocolate to scoff. Tell her to come back Tuesday."

Can't see it!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 19/04/2019 19:20

They will all be on standby, waiting for the royal cervix. I don’t think she would get skeleton staffing. They will have normal service whenever she delivers baby Sussex.

I do hope she is relaxing at home with baby Sussex by now. We don’t need to know everything-what a lot of pressure.

MissDorothyParker · 19/04/2019 19:28

I'm thinking Meghan is probably having a c section, and that's why there's no posing on the steps afterwards, til she regains the ability to walk

foreverwashing · 19/04/2019 19:30

Hmm

By the time she has skin-to-skin, has delicious newborn cuddles, gets washed and has her hair and make up done, she would definitely be able to walk from the corridor to the waiting car. It would have gone very very badly otherwise.

Pannalash · 19/04/2019 19:36

Possible catheter in place as well forever? Hmm

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 19/04/2019 19:44

I also think it will be a planned c section. I really hope they avoid the Queen's birthday, (call me cynical).

I hope it goes well for them and I'd quite like to know the outcome having been ramped up by the media for seven months or so. Beyond that I'm more interested in news of a baby Brooksbank, whenever that might be!

MissDorothyParker · 19/04/2019 19:49

Ooh forever washing yours must have been very different from mine. Couldn't walk well for days, and yes catheter still in place until next day.

motheroftinydragons · 19/04/2019 19:55

Ooh @foreverwashing I had a very straightforward, easy recovery elective CS eight months ago and I shuffle-walked slowly for a good week afterwards while doses up on prescription painkillers. Overnight catheter first night too, and I didn't get the feeling back in my legs until about 7pm (DD was born at lunchtime) Am almost the same age as MM too.

If she's having an ELCS she won't be up and about the same day, I doubt.

BertrandRussell · 19/04/2019 19:59

“There will just be a skeleton staff in any hospital. I’m sure the drs are not far away, but they’ll be on holiday.”

Because the Royals are just like the rest of us! Bizarre!

brizzlemint · 19/04/2019 20:03

If she's having an ELCS she won't be up and about the same day, I doubt.

I had a c-section in the morning and was home the same day and did the school run the next day...it's possible if you are completely mad.

SouthWestmom · 19/04/2019 20:10

I had four sections. For the last one I managed to leave early the next morning.
