Princess Anne was on a very quiet visit to Dublin over the weekend, looking at lighthouses in her role as Master of Trinity House which is a link up between the Lighthouse authorities of the U.K. and Irish Lights which is in charge of Irish lighthouses.
Could someone do a link please to show pictures. Sorry I can't.
She was wearing a khaki green suit with accents of red for the visit to the headquarters and a rain jacket to visit the lighthouses.

Today's Meghan non-story is that she wants to hire an American nanny. Apparently this is what she's told a recruitment agency but any recruitment agency wanting to keep a royal client would never run to the tabloids about it!

Ahh love Princess Anne - she always dresses for the elements and sod the fashion critics! And she always seems to be genuinely interested in everything.

I also love that shade of pale pink. Especially in silk!

I was just about to say that the recruitment will never get another celeb/high end family knocking on their door again. What a load of bull. I think Meghan and Harry are both seasoned enough and open minded enough to choose the right person for the role based on their personality and abilities rather than their nationality..

It makes me wonder though if William and Kate has chosen an English nanny and Meghan and Harry had chosen a Spanish nanny, how the knives would have been out and and criticism of how an English nanny wasn’t good enough for Meghan would have made headlines.

Good point @SlipperOrchid, I completely forgot the Cambridge nanny is Spanish! I don't remember any comment about that at the time (and nor should there be, of course).

If they get a Norland nanny, I hope they don't make her wear that uniform. The designer's brief must have been "make the female form look as unattractive as humanly possible."

Borland nannies are very proud of the uniform- it’s not a matter of making them wear it.

Yes they may be proud, I remember seeing the documentary about Norland nannies but (a big part of me) believe the uniform is to ensure the wife and mother of the children they mind never has to worry that their husband will be attracted to the nanny while she is wearing it!

Princess Anne was lovely when I met her, we discussed cameras as we both had the same make, mine being a much cheaper Canon than the one she had.

I have seen K & W nanny out with the children, and she was not wearing the Norland uniform so I don't think they require her to wear that daily. It is hideous!

The Norland uniform hasn’t changed which is why it looks so outdated. Most don’t wear it day to day, only on special occasions. If you ever visit Bath you see lots of norland nannies as they have the college there. My DM had a norlander when she was a child and she always feels comforted when she sees the uniform.

The only time I've seen the Cambridge nanny wearing her uniform was for Charlotte’s christening.

I think the uniform has changed recently. I think the current one was adopted about 5 years ago as an update. My personal opinion is that they need to go back to the drawing board.

The stories about megan are just ridiculous - I think Harry and Megan are the least likely people who would want a specific nationality of employee. Plus any legitimate agency for the royals and celebs would never confess such things even if they were true since they would loose their custom.

I thought it was a bit uncomfortable to see her wearing it for the christening. It markedly her out very clearly as staff not a guest. When in truth she’s probably closer to those children than anyone barring their own parents.

Maybe Maria Teresa wanted to wear her Norland Uniform or it's the expected thing to wear on high profile occasions & technically she was working.
Although I'm not keen on the Norland uniform (it really needs updating) I would be damn proud to wear it if I was a Norland Nanny.

I know the designer who updated the Norland uniforms in 2013...
