Will Kate emerge from her Norfolk seclusion sporting a bigger than ever Alice band? Will the Mail and Express stories about Meghan get more ludicrous by the day? And will this thread see the arrival of Baby Sussex? All will be revealed in due course...

And will fashion history be kind to the nude shoe?

BabyDueDecember2019 · 15/04/2019 07:11

Don't like Mary's asymmetric headband. The dress is a beautiful colour on her!

BigGreenOlives · 15/04/2019 07:50

The suit on her oldest son illustrates perfectly why little boys shouldn’t wear suits.

beanaseireann · 15/04/2019 08:03

I like a nude shoeBlush - elongates a leg
Vincent and Josephine - the names of CP Mary's and CP Fred's twins.
They wouldn't be names I'd choose.
They wouldn't go down well on the Baby Names thread. Smile

I love a nude shoe in all shades of nude through to toffee! Less harsh than black or brown and far more flattering!

beanaseireann · 15/04/2019 08:18

Wasn't Fergie wearing those velvet headbands back in the day - circa 1985 ?

BertrandRussell · 15/04/2019 08:34

All us Sloany Posh Girls wore velvet Alice bands in the late 70s/80. With stripy pie crust collar shirts and gernseys.

HMQ looking great over the weekend. Love how happy she is around horses.

Nice to see some casual pap shots of the Cambridge/Tindall gang. George is so tall!

pinkladyapples · 15/04/2019 10:33

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip. Sofia in a Roland Mouret top.

I love the way the Queen is dressing over the past six or seven years or so.
I still think the pic I posted on one of QueenoftheAndals previous threads, of the Queen laughing with the fishmonger Pat O' Connell at the English Market in Cork on a 'walkabout' is the best!!!Smile
It's rare to see her really laughing on a 'public' walkabout.

I'm torn about this. On the one hand I really enjoy seeing natural photos but on the other hand part of me thinks it isn't right to take photos of children and plaster them on the internet. I feel such a hypocrite.

brizzlemint · 15/04/2019 11:45

I know what you mean Slipper, I feel like that to a certain extent. I'm definitely on the fence.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 15/04/2019 11:47

In one photo I noticed William looking right at the camera. Looking pissed off
.

gingercat02 · 15/04/2019 11:50

The photo's were taken at a public event, the press were there to cover the event and probably took lots or photos of lots of family groups. Will, Kate etc will have been a bonus but not why they were there.

SlipperOrchid · 15/04/2019 12:01

Yes I know that Gingercat but if I was there, I would not be happy if to see photos of my children on the internet afterwards.

This is obviously not on the same scale but I will use it as an example. I was at a local festival last year and there was a photographer for the local newspaper there. He approached people and asked them if they would mind if he took their photos and if they agreed he took some photos and told them he might use some of them for the paper if they agreed. Some members of my family were so excited they went out to buy the paper the following week and squealed when they saw their photos in it.

However if he had just gone ahead and published photos of my children without asking I'd have been very cross.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 15/04/2019 12:27

I think at a semi public event. Then they just grit their teeth and ignore it. (Savannah, Isla and Mia are photographed just as much).
There's been lots of occasions where the ppo has said no photos. Charlotte at the ballet, going to the loo in the pub etc.

I think they should do a couple of formal shots a year; summer and Christmas plus birthdays. That's plenty.

Rhubarbisevil · 15/04/2019 12:31

Here’s a bridal look that we shall never see on a Royal.

Nogravyforyou · 15/04/2019 12:33

Charles and Camilla are off to Germany beginning of May for 4 days. Hopefully we'll get some nice outfits from Camilla!

pinkladyapples · 15/04/2019 12:43

SlipperOrchid Yes suppose you are right regards the pap shots. I am nosy by nature so seeing them just having a normal day is nice once in a while, but yes maybe not the kids and just the adults.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 15/04/2019 14:13

I like HM's hat even though it looks like she's tucked her knitting in the headband Grin

SlipperOrchid I agree with what you are saying.
I think there should be a law that unless permission has been asked for then childrens faces should be pixelated when published.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 15/04/2019 14:16

I always check with friends/family before I post a photo that contains their child on FB.
I wish more people would do this.

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/04/2019 14:22

Well there we go @Rhubarbisevil, I think I've just found my wedding dress there!!
