Can I wear a denim jacket with jeans?

I wear either black or midwash blue skinny jeans every day. Can I wear a denim jacket with them or is this a huge no-no? I usually am a firm believer in people wearing whatever they please but I don’t want to look daft.

Does anyone rock this look and am I worrying needlessly?!

If you're wearing black jeans I can't see a problem.
Otherwise it depends on your confidence levels.

Having said that, if I saw it on someone else I wouldn’t judge, no double denim and other clothes rules are nonsense imo

Aargh! I am struggling to find a jacket for Spring. I have an anorak style one but just feel a bit... frumpy. I need one that looks OK for the school run, not too formal, but also not too slobbish for work (I work in an office, but am allowed to wear jeans, hence why I live in skinny jeans every day!).

I have a feeling I’m never going to find anything unless I know what I’m looking for if that makes sense - has anyone found the perfect Spring jacket?

I think that whenever something hits a nerve like double denim clearly does, there's a good chance it'll be back on the scene soon. Maybe not this summer, but soon. But then I've always had a soft spot for it so I'm biased.

Denim with black jeans is great. I would never judge double denim, but I just don't like the look of it! I'd go for something like this instead -

What about a jersey blazer? i have one similar to this which I wear all the time - it looks good with jeans but smartens them up a bit.

I also have this jacket which goes with everything.

I do have a denim jacket but wear it with summer dresses or chinos.

Have a look through some brands like fat face, white stuff ect - I think they've got some great soft blazer/jacket alternatives that would look awesome with blue denim - such as -

I have a dark indigo denim jacket I bought last summer and I wear it with black jeans, other non blue cropped jeans ( like pink or green) and over dresses.
