My jersey ones come today from next. Should be before 1pm.

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:02

laska disgusting behaviour by your own family Angry

dontcallmelen · 03/04/2019 10:14

Cherries I’m quite pale with pink understones, I find the dove or L’Oréal glow in the lightest shade is fine on me, ikwym when dd covert whatbyou have, I’m never sure either to be happy or horrified.
Soups like the colour of the jacket, but think it’s a bit to severe in style.
Those cropped jeans are a bargain, but they are only one inch shorter than my inside leg measurement😂

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 10:15

Oh that's useful never I ordered the 12 and 14 as I have not bought from them previously, hopefully one should fit.. worth a punt anywayat that price even with delivery. Returns are free they say
I'm not sure about the buttons really but again at the price.... But still interested in the Next ones if you can report back ..

ilovecherries · 03/04/2019 10:19

soups, that’s a lovely thing to say, thank you :). Re the jacket, I think if you have the chutzpah to carry it off, it would work, but it’s not one for a shrinking violet.

laska, I nearly fell out with my mum over the weekend re mental health. As you know, I’ve been really concerned by DD’s anxiety the last few weeks, and I was telling my mum about it, and she said ‘oh try not to worry about it, DD is far too sensible to have a breakdown’. I was fuming, it was as if she was saying a mental health issue is a lifestyle choice, or some sort of moral failing. I love my mum dearly, but WTF! This from a woman who clearly has PTSD after my siblings deaths but refused to see anyone as ‘she didn’t have time to be having a breakdown’. Argh.

Clothes - I think on reflection I’m going to send both the Moritz and the Chamonix back. They are lovely, but I’m not sure they are worth it on a cost per wear.

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:25

cherries I don't think I am bold enough to carry it off! If it goes in the sale I might try just to see.

Re your mum's comments - I wonder if it's a generational thing? I don't think the older generation understand mental health properly, or understand that the nature of parents' relationships with their dc has changed (for the better). I have a cousin I am close to, she's in her early 80s. Whenever I bring up an issue about one of my dds, she tends to brush it off saying I worry too much! And she says the same of her own dd who is a bit older than me with similar aged dc to mine. We're all over-invested and worry too much.

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 10:33

twosoups this Boden code should work for 20% off O8W6
cherries I hope your DD got her dissertation in ok, and is feeling less stressed now, it's such a hard time nearing the end of study. But yesMH stigma unfortunately is still so prevalent.. I also get really annoyed when people morally dismiss bring overweight as simply a control issue and nothing else..This is one One of the reasons that I really hateTrich OCd being still referred to as a 'mania' (and don't talk about it much)b right don't get me started on Brexit

dontcallmelen · 03/04/2019 10:33

I think sometimes with older people, feelings & emotions weren’t discussed like they are now & was very little treatment available unless it was an institution they can have a very different mindset & May look upon depression/anxiety as a sort of weakness, also they be a bit afraid of admitting to not coping in some cases, it’s a complicated issue for a lot of the older generation, also the ingrained attitude of a ‘stiff upper lip’ can be surprisingly still quite prevalent with some.

SoyYo · 03/04/2019 10:34

Omg just seen old thread and new...still nowhere near caught up.
I’m in Eurostar for quick 2 day Paris work visit, though not so quick as train was an hour late departing.
Wearing Hush snake marina with black cashmere boat neck, flat biker boots. Topped with a MV grey raincoat which matches the snake skirt perfectly and one of the leopard dark blue scarfs from the Jan sale. It was very cold first thing this morning arriving in London at 8am and wondered if I was a bit premature with the snake marina skirt...but cozy tights helped and I’m sick of wearing trousers practically every trip the last 4 months.
I will come back and comment on your news once I’ve caught up!

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:36

Hi Soy you sound very chic today! Hope the Paris trip goes well.

ilovecherries · 03/04/2019 10:45

Two weeks to go yet, laska. Easter Monday 5pm it’s due in. I think she is a little calmer now me (and especially the dog!) are home with her. I’ve been turning a blind eye to the dog sleeping with her.

dontcallmelen · 03/04/2019 10:46

Yy the just a control issue, it goes way deeper than that & can be extremely complex reasons why someone struggles with food/weight also mania is really not a helpful term, I’m glad that it now appears manic depression seems to be now termed as bi-polar.

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 10:47

I'm also wearing that scarf today Soy Oui, you sound tried chic. Are you having your managers chat/ 2nd interview this week ?

I have Joules navy boat neck long jumper , Hush black l/l vest under my dyed navy M&S leopard leggings and black ankle boots as well as the Hush scarf ..also long star necklace

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:52

I am freezing cold today so wearing fleecy Primark leggings, long grey vest top and blue jumper on top. And Uggs. I don't look particularly stylish today but I'm cosy and warm. Winter is definitely back!

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:53

Anyone shop at Fat Face? I have a voucher I need to use, wonder what I should buy?

EachandEveryone · 03/04/2019 10:54

Its chilly in London today and im debating whether its still too early to put some bedding plants out on my patio

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 10:54

FFS !!! Tres Chic Soy, -Not- tried chic!! 😂-oh the ruddy autocorrect on this phone.. It's a Random Unintended Insult Machine !! 🤣

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 10:56

two soups did you see that Boden code I posted? Give the jacket a go enabling

twosoups1972 · 03/04/2019 10:58

Grin laska

Thank you for the code, not sure I'll try the jacket just yet....but there are a couple of other things I might order so it will come in handy Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 03/04/2019 11:01

Well i am still slobbing around. I have my tesco f and f leggings on and my new trainers and a jersey nightshirt on!! Going to change my top with a l/l charcoal vest from hush and my hush wide neck top.
Decided that i am definitely returning the Moritz as i have spent far too much [buyers guilt] and have packed up the blue jersey shirt although its not sealed, just in the box but still debating it. If i send it all back, all that i will have kept will be the camo skirt and the black washed one.

neveradullmoment99 · 03/04/2019 11:03

Unintended Insult Machine
GrinGrin @Laska

neveradullmoment99 · 03/04/2019 11:03

You do make me chuckle.

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 11:06

Hmm jersey shirt, vest back washed skirt, or black washed shorts from last summer if you still have them , I reckon is a really nice look, but Y it's ££.. I'm still glad I kept mine .

Laska2Meryls · 03/04/2019 11:08

I'm at work but no one in and nothing much to do.. 🙄 I keep telling them but they insist that they do need me...
