Just looked at the photos - not a collar, but fur trimmings.

I think Kitty's mother was very beautiful until her husband sucked the life out of her. Awful man (based on no personal knowledge he just comes across as a self-centred arse every time he gets any publicity).

It was all very weird. They married within six weeks of meeting. I think she did have problems, and I don't think he is a nice person - didn't she have treatment in SA where they were living?

The wet fur reminds of when my hairdresser wanted some horsehair for some event. My friend chopped off a considerable chunk of her horse's tail and took it in to the salon. Work began by washing it, then they threw it out as they couldn't believe the stink!

I think Victoria had anorexia or bulimia? I read that his wedding speech recounted the story of how his father told him to find a girl who'd stick with him through thick and thin and "those of you who know Victoria know she's thick, and she certainly is thin".

His second marriage ended in divorce too but his current wife doesn't strike me as the type who'll take any nonsense from him. You hear about men who marry their mothers but Charles appears to have married his stepmother!

I adored Victoria Spencer's wedding party photos.
They looked Russian/ Edwardian - just very different. She was waif like but hauntingly beautiful.
His speech with its disparaging remark re his new bride was vile.
You would think that as he and Diana had suffered so much because of their parents separation and the hostility that ensued that he might do his damndest to avoid same in his own life. He has quite a few children - four with Victoria, two with Caroline Freud and ???
Nasty man.

He has a daughter with Karen too, also named Charlotte Diana. She's about Prince George's age, maybe a year or so older.

I got married the same day as Charles & Victoria!
