How much do you pay for your hair cut?

I have a pixie cut, so need it doing every six weeks maximum. My hairdresser seems to be especially speedy - last time I went the whole thing - wash, cut, blow dry - took 20 mins and it cost £45.

I am thinking of changing hairdressers anyway, as the last two times it hasn't looked as nice as she used to do it, but wondered how much was an average cut.

What annoyed me most was the fact there was a man in there, paying 'gentleman's price' (ie. much cheaper) who was in there longer than I was and whose hair was also longer than mine!

€44 wash, cut, blowjob. Takes about an hour but my hairdresser is wonderful and we chat a lot, which slows the process.

You don't have tobe faithful to a hairdresser, if you don't like the last couple of cuts you had, go somewhere new

theothermum · 26/03/2019 14:24

€140 colour, cut, wash and blow dry.

JugzyMalone · 26/03/2019 14:32

£20, wash cut blow dry. London but she's a mobile hairdresser so I think that makes it cheaper?

Kedgeree · 26/03/2019 14:36

£40 CBD and highlights every 4-6 weeks.

harrietkatie · 26/03/2019 14:38

80-120 depending if I need colour

Corrag · 26/03/2019 14:38

£15 cut & blow, mobile hairdresser.

Well your hairdresser sure does sound like they are willing to go above and beyond!

Sounds like mine is pretty average then. I'm just getting used to this high maintenance hair do - I had long hair previously and it was a once every 3 months trim (if I thought about it)

£70-75 cut and blow dry, curly hair specialist (going for the first time in ages this week). Used to pay for director but it's gone from £75 to £85 to £95 in a few years so I'm dropping down to senior.

thefirst48 · 26/03/2019 15:01

£25 I have a wet cut and don't bother with it blow drying. Hate going to the hairdressers as it is lol.

TeeBee · 26/03/2019 15:02

£120 for highlights, cut and blow dry (blow job is extra).

Fernanie · 26/03/2019 15:05

£20 in central London because I only ever go on a Groupon/Wowcher-type deal. Otherwise it's prohibitively expensive. I have midlength, blunt cut, all one length hair so requires fairly regular trims to keep it looking tidy and keep the "bluntness", but even though it's only ever a 20-minute trim most hairdressers want £40+ for a wash, cut and blowdry, and some want to put a "long hair surcharge" on top of that Hmm So now only use vouchers or get a student to do it at the local beauty college.

NorthEndGal · 26/03/2019 15:05

Nothing, as I do it myself

letsdolunch321 · 26/03/2019 15:09

I go to the local college as a model - price is £7.00 for a wash, cut and blow- dry

KnitterOfSocks · 26/03/2019 15:11

Just had mine done, £40 for a quick wash, cut and blow dry. Takes 45-50min. I have short hair so every 6-8 weeks keeps it looking OK.

lenovo2019 · 26/03/2019 15:13

Where I am it's £35-40 usually for a cut and blow dry. I haven't had a haircut in 2 months as I can't afford it & wet cuts are still at least £30.

shumway · 26/03/2019 15:13

£11.

happyhillock · 26/03/2019 15:19

£15 for wet cut.

MicrocellularOrganism · 26/03/2019 15:23

£19, short pixie cut

scarus · 26/03/2019 15:31

£19 dry cut, shoulder length hair

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 26/03/2019 15:39

£35 for a wet cut and blow dry in west London. I think it's an utter bargain, and I still can't quite believe I've found somewhere that does a genuinely excellent job at that price.

Mmmmdanone · 26/03/2019 15:43

£25 wash cut blow dry. It's in a small local salon in a poor-ish area so that helps!

Frenchfancy · 26/03/2019 15:44

Another DIY here. Just worked out that it saves me £400/year not counting the colour which must be another £400+
