Too much black?

Evening out, first one in 8 years Shock and not sure what to wear. I have a black dress, black boots, black leggings. Is a black cardigan overkill? I have black, navy, white, beige (but not sure the style fits) or a long length darkish grey one.

I think the knee boots look fine.

NotComingBackAnytimeSoon · 16/03/2019 15:45

Op hasn't been out in 8 years!

Does that mean she doesn't own shoes 😂

Bigonesmallone3 · 16/03/2019 15:47

Out of all the options I would say the knee boot..

Quintella · 16/03/2019 15:48

Well it means she probably has trainers and flats that suit pootling about during the day but no heels that go well with a dress.

Bigonesmallone3 · 16/03/2019 15:51

Don't think I said heels

Quintella · 16/03/2019 15:54

Are you getting annoyed because I responded to your comment?

If so, are you 12 years old?

NotComingBackAnytimeSoon · 16/03/2019 15:54

Grin you do not want to see my everyday shoes!!

I like the lace up boots personally .👌🏻👌🏻

Stormyday · 16/03/2019 15:54

Not the cardigan. Do you have a black leather jacket or biker jacket?

NotComingBackAnytimeSoon · 16/03/2019 15:55

No. I have a dark grey winter coat.

Take the socks off?!

Bigonesmallone3 · 16/03/2019 15:58

Just don't think saying op hasn't been out in 8 years means she doesn't own shoes..

Are u annoyed that I also responded to your comment?

NotComingBackAnytimeSoon · 16/03/2019 15:59

I also have dark grey leggings.
I have to leave in 20 mins.
You know my entire "going out wardrobe.

I like the lace up boots. But not with leggings (that go baggy at the knee). Can't you go and buy some not fully opaque tights?

sagradafamiliar · 16/03/2019 16:00

Can never have too much black especially of an evening.
If you insist on boots, the laced ankle boots look better. No to a cardigan, biker jacket. It will pull the boots look together as well.

Bigonesmallone3 · 16/03/2019 16:01

Black

sagradafamiliar · 16/03/2019 16:01

Not the grey ones, no.

Charley50 · 16/03/2019 16:01

The black not the grey. Wear short socks that can't be seen if you have to wear socks. Grey coat is fine. Have fun!

Justmuddlingalong · 16/03/2019 16:02

Black tights. Lace up boots. No socks. No cardigan.

Quintella · 16/03/2019 16:03

Are u annoyed that I also responded to your comment?

Just bemused by your snippiness.

Charley50 · 16/03/2019 16:04

You can buy tights on the way. Where you off to anyway? And why haven't you been out for 8 years?

Quintella · 16/03/2019 16:04

No to the grey tights

LynetteScavo · 16/03/2019 16:04

Yes, biker jacket would make the boots work.

Please invest in some tights and red shoes for the next time you go out....and don't leave it another 8 years, life is too short. Hope you have fun.

I don’t think black works as you get older. I think you need some colour. Although I agree very deep black looks expensive, cheap black just looks cheap.
