I have been dying to try Pixi Glow Tonic for ages, but is a bit pricey, Aldi have bought out a dupe today called Healthy Glow, very similar packaging and look, only £3.99 !! Has anyone tried this before?, is it any good, cant wait to find out ( easily pleased me :) )

I will also be very pleased as I love the Pixi tonic but it is too pricey for me so I’m using the last bit I’ve got left very sparingly!

NameChanger1985 · 07/03/2019 17:48

Not tried it but will watch thread with interest for reviews. If you try it & like it I suggest you stock up. Aldi has discontinued my face cream, face wash & face scrub.

Tomtontom · 07/03/2019 17:58

It's the second time they've done it so hopefully someone used it last time.

The night cream that's out today is lovely. Off to store later!

40andfeelingit · 07/03/2019 21:39

Ooh thanks for the tip off. Bought it last time and found it as good as Pixi Glow. Have just opened the last of the stash I have, (bought 2 last time it was out), so will get in there and restock

Dimedollar · 07/03/2019 22:19

I've used both. The Aldi one is a very close 2nd, worth using for the huge saving.

MoorMummy · 07/03/2019 22:26

I’ve got a 47 quid order arriving tomorrow. 4 x midnight secret night cream ( gorgeous smells of lavender).4 x matching eye cream and 4 x the knock off clarins beauty flash balm. All brilliant so I’ll be check out this glow stuff you speak of next 😊

blibblibs · 07/03/2019 22:48

Arrgh, I've just tried to buy the beauty flash balm online and it's sold out. Does anyone know if its currently in stores? Aldi is a bit of a drive away but I'll do it if I can save 3odd quid!

MoorMummy · 08/03/2019 06:17

They have it in periodically. Not sure if at the moment though.

DeadCertain · 08/03/2019 13:21

I used it when it last came out a few months ago and I love it!! Couldn't get any more so have Pixi Glow at present, but I bought two of the Aldi dupes yesterday when I spotted them as I prefer it to the Pixi Glow (and the price!!).

Gotthetshirt23 · 08/03/2019 13:37

The glow and hot cloth cleanser is there at the moment and lots of new creams I've not seen before ?

MoorMummy · 08/03/2019 14:06

Also recommend the Cellsation day cream it’s really lovely and light, must pick up a couple more , six quid I think.

cmjwx · 08/03/2019 14:16

Thanks for this post OP! I bought it last time it was out and I'm almost ran out so I will definitely will be getting some more (I'll be stocking up this time).

I would recommend, it's great for my skin but I can't compare it to Pixi Glow because I've never used it

KaliforniaDreamz · 08/03/2019 16:31

i got sidetracked by the elizabeth arden 8 hour cream dupe (pretty good) and forgot to pic up the pixie dupe. annoying. i did get the hot cloth cleanser tho and it's ok but nowhere near as nice as Liz earle. sorry.

i got the concealer and the gylco wotsit pads (not used yet)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/03/2019 17:21

I have the Glow liquid - it doesn't smell as strong as the PixiGlow and it isn't as astringent , but I cannot tell any real difference . I bought a £10 bottle of PixiGlow to try out a year ago.
I have some Charcol Micellar water too which is good (I don't wear make-up so night time routine of either then some moisturiser works for me)

I bought DD the dupe pink sand face mask (with a cute little brush) she likes that.

I also have the Hot Cloth cleanser and the dupe Glam Glow mask whih are good.

I bought some of the balm today ( is it Miracle Cream? ) very thick, almost vaseline-like with a faint rose scent . Not sure if I'd put it on my face . It did rub in quite easily . Maybe eyebrows and cuticles .

I saw the night cream ( but its very lavender based so I won;t buy that ) I thought it looked a bit like the M&S one bit its not lavender .

I am gobsmacked that they can get away with the blantant similarity to the products that are on the market and we all know what they are (I;m choosing my words very carefully) . !

KaliforniaDreamz · 08/03/2019 17:35

I know it's amazing. I find it all so funny a packet of fake Penguins is called Seals LOL

The balm is not really for face it is the best lip balm ever tho!

KaliforniaDreamz · 08/03/2019 17:36

The cream everyone raves about (caviar) made my face sting so be careful if you have sensitive skin.

SimoneStrasser · 08/03/2019 18:55

I bought the Touché Eclat dupe, in cashmere, I love it!

YouWereRight · 08/03/2019 19:20

I bought some last time. It's not as concentrated as pixi glow, or other glycolic toners, like the nip and fab, of alpha H.

Tbh, I've been using it to exfoliate my legs, because at £3.99, why not.

MoorMummy · 08/03/2019 22:33

The Miracle cream is a dupe of 8 hour cream, it’s too greasy for face cream better for cuticles and lips. The Clarins Beauty Flash dupe is called Beautifying Daily Balm.

KaliforniaDreamz · 11/03/2019 08:12

My Aldi didn't have any of the Beauty Flash dupe - but has anyone tried it?
The MIracle Cream is a good lip balm as i said before but it doesn't as nice a fragrance as 8 hour but if you think it's really just bloody lanolin it seems silly to spend £££ on it. So Aldi's will do.

As an aside their reeses pieces dupes are horrible.

VanGoghsDog · 11/03/2019 11:04

My DSS and I used to make up names for the Aldi fake products. Our favourite was Not Poodle for Pot Noodle 😁

MinesaPinot · 11/03/2019 12:52

I got it on Saturday, and the hot cloth cleanser. I'm really impressed with both products and will be repurchasing.

Blossom4538 · 11/03/2019 14:34

I saw it in store today and was quite interested. I do really like the Pixi Retinol Tonic now though! Just bought a large bottle for £18 🙈😬
