HELP!! 5 weeks to grow some eyebrows

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 16:51

I’m getting married in 5 weeks. Went and had my eyebrows threaded today. The stupid Superdrug “beautician” has pretty much removed them completely. I look fucking awful. What can I do?!

You could get them microbladed

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 16:59

I thought microbladed was a fancy form of removal... guessing I’m wrong?

Would something like this work - www.boots.com/rapidbrow-eyebrow-enhancing-serum-10137216

Or a tattoo?!

Microblade definitely. But do it this weekend so that they've settled down by the wedding.

GooodMythicalMorning · 22/02/2019 17:01

yes microblading might work or eyebrow tattoo possibly?

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 17:09

Oh Microblading looks like it could work, but also looks very expensive Sad wedding costs mean there’s not a lot of spare cash floating around!

Have you got a pic? Xx

Littletreasure2017 · 22/02/2019 17:15

Sometimes when I have mine done I think they look awful when they really don't xx

Doyoumind · 22/02/2019 17:16

It's castor oil supposed to work?

TinselAndKnickers · 22/02/2019 17:30

This! Does wonders for my lashes and I have great brows now, only used it a month.

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 17:34

They are SO THIN and completely straight. Very, very different to what I walked in with. They really look awful Sad eyebrows make such a difference to your face.

Seems a bit excessive getting mircroblading for a temporary problem. Obviously if you'd want them done at some point in the future anyway go ahead but you might not need to. Are you getting your makeup done professionally on the day? Sorting something like this out would be zero problem for a decent make up artist, especially with another five weeks regrowth to work with. Contact them and see what they can do, get a mini trial (just eyebrows!) done if possible.

JoyceDivision · 22/02/2019 17:38

Op I had micro blading done3 week ago, pm if you want to know anything x

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 17:43

Thanks TinselAndKnickers, I’ll take a look.

I’m not sure Microblading is an option due to cost - plus I’d be very worried about it going wrong (seems to be my luck!)

TheCraicDealer I am getting my make up done on the day, I’ll see if I can have a chat with her tomorrow Smile

I think they look nice, mine are too thick and odd, do you have a before pic? Did you complain xxx

thinkingcapon · 22/02/2019 17:53

5 weeks will grow a lot
Put Vaseline or pure castor oil on them every night

DianaT1969 · 22/02/2019 18:01

I agree, don't rush into microblading this close to the wedding. You need to research the best technician in your area and they take about 3 weeks to settle down.
Just ask your make up artist to sort them.

Nofuckingeyebrows · 22/02/2019 18:33

Before pic attached.

No I didn’t complain, figured it was too late! I did say they were very thin. She kind of just shrugged and said “thin eyebrows are in” - really?!!

OP posts:
flumpybear · 22/02/2019 18:45

I think they look quite nice! Do you favour larger brows though?

JoyceDivision · 22/02/2019 18:47

They look lovely op, certainly not too thin, but if they are different to what you expect them I appreciat e it may freak you out!

Call your makeup person to arrange a brow practice, leave them alone and you should have regrowth to okay with by wedding x

VimFuego101 · 22/02/2019 18:48

Take some of those vitamins to make your hair/ nails grow. I think they will grow out by the wedding, mine certainly would.

seething1234 · 22/02/2019 18:50

Jess I'd be raging if I ended up with brows like that (and I'm not being mean) you're before are much nice. However they will grow back (hopefully) and you can use make up to make them appear thicker.

TheCraicDealer · 22/02/2019 18:53

Sending you eyebrow-growing vibes OP Wine

Frouby · 22/02/2019 18:56

Try megatek, it might just work in time. I use the horse version but am sure they do a human version as well, it was developed for chemotherapy patients to encourage hair growth.

I used it on my pony a few years ago and my fingernails were amazing after a month!

Justkeeprollingalong · 22/02/2019 19:14

Your before photos show lovely eyebrows. Take the pic into your local dept store with a make up department and ask a consultant or two to 'draw' them in. Buy the product that does best. A good eyebrow pencil or powder can work wonders. Don't microblade. It doesn't like very natural and this is a temporary problem. They will grow back. 💐

45andahalf · 22/02/2019 19:16

Oh goodness, poor you. That’s what mine look like after over-enthusiastic plucking in the nineties. I have to draw them in now. Quite excited to hear that thin eyebrows are “in” again though I s spect she was lying to you :(
