I'm strangely drawn to them...

I have slept on it and decided I am not nearly trendy enough to wear these. I use words like 'trendy' fgs 😂

Just looking at them makes my feet go funny! That front flap bit would dig into my front ankle area.

KeepCalm · 22/02/2019 09:29

No

floppyflappy · 22/02/2019 09:32

it's winter at the front but it's summer at the back! Grin

it's winter at the front but it's summer at the back! Similar to what I always think about short sleeve jumpers Confused

dontgobaconmyheart · 22/02/2019 14:58

I don't hate the idea of them, the front is nice! I don't know though OP they look bloody uncomfortable to keep on and the kind of thing you'd see a blogger in for one of their pretend bloody OOTD photos where they stick on clothes they don't wear in their actual day to day for photos, before going back home to their comfy clothes and a tea.

Grin at the saltwaters comment. spot on ; if it's not a pair of saltwaters, clarks hamble oak brogues, stan smiths or birkenstocks, it probably isn't going to get mass agreement anyway. Especially if it's not 'classic' or 'real leather'. With that said, they still aren't for me - sorry!

I don't know, there were a lot of threads last year saying 'recommend me a pair of sandals but not saltwaters'.

MontanaSkies · 23/02/2019 16:21

They make my feet feel sweaty just looking at them!

On an aesthetic level they seem a bit "off" to me somehow, even though I generally like clumpy shoes.

ColourMeStoked · 23/02/2019 16:25

Not my cup of tea

RedWineIsFabulous · 01/12/2019 17:15

Oh dear.
They are absolutely vile.

It's a no from me

QueenOfTheFae · 01/12/2019 17:18

Ew no

afterme · 01/12/2019 17:19

I don’t mind them!

Iamthewombat · 01/12/2019 17:38

They are TERRIBLE.

Look at the picture of George I on this page. Particularly his feet. Look hard. Is that the vibe you are going for? Don’t.

ZOMBIE THREAD

GoldfishGirl · 01/12/2019 18:31

I think they are really impractical with British weather.

In the summer you wouldn't wear them as they are too heavy.

In the winter you'd freeze, or cover them with long trousers/tights so what is the point?

You'd have a 2-4 week window every season. In reality they'd sit in the cupboard and look pretty.

Ididit2019 · 01/12/2019 22:38

I like them too!
