I'm strangely drawn to them...

I can't decide if I love or hate these shoes

Definite no from me I'm afraid.

ButterfliesandMoths · 21/02/2019 22:56

I like them

Calvinsmam · 21/02/2019 22:58

They make me feel weird because they look like you couldn’t wear socks or tights with them so you’d get a sweaty foot and they’d do that thing that slippers do where they walk a bit faster than your feet and trip you up.

chocolateroses · 21/02/2019 22:59

Confused nope!

Monty27 · 21/02/2019 23:05

If you wear them with a skirt they'll look all wrong. Or cropped trousers for that matter.
If you wear them with long trousers the hem will find it's way underneath your heel
Aside from that, they are fugly.

Marmighty · 21/02/2019 23:09

How bizarre, I had some very similar mules from the river Island sale in about 1995. Those were hideous and I hardly wore them because they didn't actually go with anything, and these are about 150% worse

AuntieOxident · 21/02/2019 23:15

They look enormous.
And I think they would look (a bit) better if they actually fitted the model instead of being two sizes too large.

CloudyTuesday · 21/02/2019 23:39

They make her feet look like hooves. Really unflattering. Can't imagine what you could possibly wear them with.

DoorbellsSleighbellsSchnitzel · 21/02/2019 23:45

Hideous!

ToastyFingers · 21/02/2019 23:48

I don't hate them but I can't picture anything in my wardrobe I would wear them with.

ToastyFingers · 21/02/2019 23:49

Also, I like the brown but not the black so much.

GinZing · 21/02/2019 23:54

If you like mules maybe check out River Island, I noticed they have plenty.

GinZing · 21/02/2019 23:55

Ha ha yes as a pp said they look like hooves!

Gentlemanwiththistledownhair · 22/02/2019 00:47

I'm also intrigued by them in a so-ugly-they're-not kinda way. No idea what I'd wear them with though... Culottes?

And the brown is way better than the black for some reason as pp have said.

But I have learnt this week that my style is way off the Boden/seasalt vibe here (I also loved the French connection pink culottes in a previous thread Blush) And I've never thought of myself as a particularly out there dresser!

bubblegumbottles · 22/02/2019 00:49

I'm a fan!

ILikeyourHairyHands · 22/02/2019 01:06

I quite like them!

7salmonswimming · 22/02/2019 01:08

I think they’re great. You’d have to wear them right though: definitely not with long trousers. Long skirt/dress, cropped trousers but not Capri, flares etc. Of course you’d have to be tall, skinny and ideally 19yo to pull them off

I think there's definitely something good about them. Buy them, try them on with half your wardrobe and see what they go with then decide if you want them. I'd not buy them because I don't do heels. But mules I love, I got an awesome pair in the sales last summer that did not get enough wear last year and I'm longing to wear again.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 22/02/2019 06:10

They look like orthopaedic shoes for a camel.

Unutterable · 22/02/2019 06:20

I’d assume the person wearing them was a slighty bonkers but fabulous fashion nut. Go for it! I think they’d look alright with culottes or wide legged trousers.

Zombiefly · 22/02/2019 08:34

GinZing - scarily these are River Island! Grin

Vitalogy · 22/02/2019 08:37

Get them OP if you like them.

I think an apt name for them would be the reduced boot.

BillyAndTheSillies · 22/02/2019 08:42

They're not for me, but my fashion obsessed SIL would rock those! Frayed, ankle length flared jeans, black jumper and camel coat.
