Does anyone own a pair of these?

Hi, I’m looking at these trainers www.allbirds.com/ and wanted to know whether anyone has a pair, and what they think of them if they have.

I have really dodgy feet which hurt all the time and their claim of being very comfortable has piqued my interest. They are also washable.

I want to be able to wear them with shorts and casual dresses on holidays, as well as with skinny jeans.

I’m thinking the white might be the most versatile, but I’m not sure re the style (I’m oldish, but don’t want to look like I’ve given up!). I usually wear Superga, but I need something more comfortable. They’re pretty pricy, so I can only choose one pair. There’s a 30 day trial period, so I can send them back if they don’t live up to the comfort claim, so it’s more the style I’d like opinions on.

TIA Smile.

I think they're awful. They look like £5 primark trainers. Sorry.

Shockers · 21/02/2019 10:07

Currently looking at Tree Runners v Tree Loungers...

Don’t be sorry, Brenda- we all like different things!

I will be ordering a pair because I’m desperate for the comfort; they’re also ethically made, which Primark trainers won’t be.

Runners or loungers anyone?

Yup. I have them. Best things ever. Sooo comfy but warm when needed cool in the heat. Look lovely too. Check their Instagram Big hit here in NZ where they're made.

Wool Runners every time.

NakedAvenger · 21/02/2019 10:37

And in the light grey.

Shockers · 21/02/2019 10:40

Thanks! So you don’t think wool would be too warm on a summer holiday?

Have you tried the Tree Runners @NakedAvenger ?

These, with the white sole? I like them.

Haha my grandma (57 so not granny granny) is obsessed with these. She has the dodgiest of feet and they always hurt her. She wears these all the time and loves them. She wear with white jeans/long shorts etc in the summer and jeans/leggings and tunics etc in the winter.

They're the only semi normal shoe she's worn since fit flops 😂

Shockers · 21/02/2019 12:47

I’m almost 53, so I’m not far behind her! Grin

Then I think your feet will thank you :)

Shockers · 21/02/2019 13:47

@LadyPeach, would you mind asking your grandma which ones she has? I’m going for runners now, but wool or tree...?

LadyPeach · 21/02/2019 14:31

Her answer, "oooooh tree! You know how hot my feet burn up" 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

oohyoudevilyou · 21/02/2019 15:43

My nan has something like those that she teams with her navy polyester elastic-waist trousers when she's gardening. My nan is 90.

Quintella · 21/02/2019 15:54

I don't think they're so bad. Pretty similar to those Nike trainers that everyone's wearing these days.

LadyPeach · 21/02/2019 17:08

Yes similar to the Roche runs, your 90yr old nan is probably more in tune with trends then yourself, you just don't know it Wink

Willowtreecottage · 21/02/2019 17:21

They might be trendy now - but they are really ugly! Grin
Surely they’d make the smallest of feet look like boats?
I think you could do better op😉
You’re 53!

winsinbin · 21/02/2019 17:34

I like `Skechers slip on trainers with memory foam for hurty feet and a slightly less elderly look.

My mum (in her 70s) wears £5 Primark trainers and regularly walks 5 or 6 miles a day in them.

HundredMilesAnHour · 21/02/2019 18:04

I like them OP. I was tempted by a pair myself but I have enough shoes and need to stop buying them!!

Intothedenofvipers · 21/02/2019 18:38

DH was given some. He binned them.

They made his feet cold, and clammy and weren’t particularly comfortable.

They look like they are made with skinned muppet and they shed muppet fluff.

So it’s a no from him.

FamilyOfAliens · 21/02/2019 18:41

DH was given some. He binned them.

Seriously? Surely he could have given them away or to a charity shop? How wasteful.

Movingtoplanetclanger · 21/02/2019 18:44

Do says they're like walking on pillow, I quite like the the way they look. To each their own I guess.

Intothedenofvipers · 21/02/2019 18:57

familyofaliens

You can’t just give away items with company logos on to charity shops. You have to either keep them or bin them.

But I’m sure the air is clear up there on your high horse! 🙄

tenredthings · 21/02/2019 19:08

These shoes are expensive but the most comfy Ive ever worn and ethical too. po-zu.com/

hugoagogo · 21/02/2019 19:35

I like the tree toppers
Pricey though aren't they?
