Can anyone recommend trousers available in a petite length for travelling in? I'd like something soft and comfortable but smarter than leggings. Preferably ones that are reasonably priced. TIA.

Next do peg leg trousers/harem style in jersey style material, plain and patterned with elasticated waist bands that are soooooo comfy

JinglingHellsBells · 16/02/2019 07:42

Have you thought about smart 'joggers'? Hush do some zipped ankle joggers in black and navy that look quite respectable with a T shirt and trainers. Similar things from The White Company.

Treacletoots · 16/02/2019 07:50

Second the next Jersey trousers.

Peopleplease · 16/02/2019 08:29

Third the next ones!

SummerHouse · 16/02/2019 08:32

Gap do a kind of trouser legging hybrid. As comfortable as leggings but thicker and with a seam down the front so office smart.

WinterHeatWave · 16/02/2019 08:38

Mine are pretty old, but Next Jersey wide legged trousers.
Looking at the previous answers, Next is worth a look?

dudsville · 16/02/2019 08:44

I've got black elasticated waist, corduroy, pocketed "things". I have no idea what to call them but they are comfortable, substantially thick, and warm. Really cheap in the Lands End sale.

peridito · 16/02/2019 09:09

@dudsville are these the Lands End ones ? I'm always on look out .

I have these from Uniqlo www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-ultra-stretch-heather-lounge-trousers-414111.html?dwvar_414111_size=SMB003&dwvar_414111_color=COL09&cgid=IDw-trousers-leggings v comfy ,thinish loop back jersey ,good fit for me 5'2" .
Uniqlo have loads, many are ankle length ,but they also do a free in store hemming service .

dudsville · 16/02/2019 09:12

Yes that's them!

peridito · 16/02/2019 09:14

Shame they don't come in petite ....

but I'm tempted all the same .

Pinkyyy · 16/02/2019 09:17

I always fly in a Victoria's secret tracksuit. Unbelievably comfy and very stylish too

notsurewhatshappening · 16/02/2019 09:25

I've just discovered Lucy and Yak dungarees thanks to S&B and they are mega comfy. Not stiff at all, very soft and just lovely. I got mine reduced on their website- £30 reduced from £50. Will definitely be buying more.

peridito · 16/02/2019 10:26

I do like the look of those dungarees ,but more on a size 8 ,5'8" gal .As opposed ato a size 16 ,5'2" one . Sad

VanGoghsDog · 16/02/2019 11:24

I have some nice soft waistless wide leg trousers from Seasalt.

movinonup · 16/02/2019 12:02

I always travel in my long harem trousers from hush, All my airport photos look the same :)

ElspethFlashman · 16/02/2019 13:19

Fourthing (fifthing?) Next Jersey harems. Like pyjamas, but respectable.

chapthedoor · 16/02/2019 13:40

Primark do their own version of the Next joggers. Only £7 (I have two pairs) they're very comfortable and a nice thin material. You have to size up though !

Justmuddlingalong · 16/02/2019 14:07

Thanks for all the suggestions. I had a look online, but while doing the big shop at Asda this morning, I came across these. Yes, I know they're classed as pyjama bottoms, but they're really soft, comfy and a perfect length on me. And at £9 a pop I'm not complaining. I would recommend them.

ooh ,good spot OP .That's my type of buy !

StarlightLady · 16/02/2019 19:33

Have you considered looking beyond trousers? For long haul any form of waist band is not going to be the ultimate in comfort.

I fly fairly regularly (for work mainly) and in my view you can’t beat a loose dress or a T shirt dress.

MissWimpyDimple · 16/02/2019 23:17

Movingonup I've been meaning to get some of those for ages but I really want to know what the material is like? I have some from H&M and they are too thin and sag at the bum after sitting down a few times.

Also I'm a size 12 but short. Should I go for medium?

TSSDNCOP · 17/02/2019 05:25

Can someone link to the Next harem you're all living please? I'm getting joggers when I search their site. Thank you.

Hollowvictory · 17/02/2019 05:28

I like boden Richmond trousers for flying, very comfy

MissElaineNeus · 17/02/2019 06:38

Diesel joggjeans are super comfortable - like wearing trackie bottoms but look like jeans. Love mine.
